Hey all, so the sales are on and I’m considering getting the Rooikat 105 to grind the British tech tree. The UK is the only nation that I have yet to grind because I didn’t really care for any of the vehicles, but now I’m reconsidering it.

Air and naval Id say it has some really good and fun things to play. For Ground… Its a bit of a mixed bag. Im not a avid ground player though and Air and naval are my preference. So take this with a pinch of salt
That being said:
I’ve heard the WW2 stuff can be fun, but its not a BR bracket I play so I wont comment.
I also dont enjoy the 6.7-8.7 stuff due to the shockingly bad nature of APDS, but ive heard a few enjoy it.
8.7 to 9.0 Chieftains are fun and the support vehicles are decent.
10.3/10.7 is peek for Britain imo, the Chally 1s are fun and properly decent as well the support stuff is good, wish we had a better IFV, but we have options for that.
Top tier though… Challenger 2 is shockingly bad and its all Gaijins fault. Its pretty much not worth playing Britain past 10.7
rooikat sucks.
dont bother grinding a nation if you don’t care for vehicles either, although I will say there’s some hidden gems in that tree

But I can say we also have some precious gems which is fun to play and are hiding in our TT.

ngl id say my best (normally obtainable) premium tank is the CMT (Centurion Action X) as its a mk3 centurion but near unkillable in hull down spots from its extra thicc turret roof.
best unobtainable (excluding rare sales) is Black Prince. It is just amazingly good in every way but speed
I just dont like the Centurions and I dont play the lower BRs so neither would be good for me
fair enough. Im waiting on a premium chieftain, maybe the mk5P or mobarez. perhaps a kuwaiti reskin premium. id like that a lot

At the ground it has a lot of cool vehicles specially at battle rating 8.0, surprisingly Great Britain is extremely easy to research vehicles. I’m surprised that I could research the Swingfire using the Fox in two days.
I’m looking forward to finish the British tech tree and the helicopters but I’m likely to focus on France then I’ll be free to focus in another tech tree. I’ve bought the Centurion Action X a few weeks ago honestly speaking wasn’t the best experience compared with what you can do with a Rooikat 105.
Tanks yeah.
Planes. Up until 8.7. Phantoms are dogwater and the attackers like the early harriers and jaguars are just “ok”.
Some very niche tanks, and some hidden gems, I personally like the Achilles at 3.3 if you like m10’s you should like that. At higher tiers, the vickers mk 1 is basically a leopard 1. And the centurion mk 1 is pretty good at its tier, bouncing tigers and panthers alike
Not tiger 2 though don’t try to tank a shot from that. You can pen it pretty easy with sabot though

You will have the complete “set”, you will learn the strong and weak points of all brit tanks and you will have fun playing them…some are actually good and fun.

My comfort tank at toptier. It’s satisfying to be practically immune to cas and darts most of the time
