I have played both back to back. The F-15 radar is easier to work with, the RWR is better because of what mentioned above about the typhoon. MAWS? I wish I could turn it off.
Fair. But the typhoon seems more broken than the F-15 atm.

In what way? Both radars are riddled with bugs and i couldn’t really find a difference, but you might be right as i haven’t had a lot of time to play recentyl. RWR is RWR. MAWs is nice, wish i had that. It’s far better for sim or GRB, maybe not ARB, in which you would have a point to stand by.
In any case, Wt is pretty broken overall but based on technical performance already implemented in war thunder (with no bugs), the EFT is better than the current F-15E
Typhoon seems to miss detections more often. The radar might be better late match when there is fewer people and missiles flying about.
MAWs is just a distraction most of the match, more useful when you are clutching end game, but usually its not. It will also sometimes pick up missiles that are not targeting you at all which adds to the distraction element.
About the RWR? It’s overly sensitive and the scale/scope is bad for functionality (like playing with your radar scope at max range)
For example, I was following the last guy (su-30sm) yesterday late game with IRST from behind and above, maybe 10km horizontal distance at 5000m altitude, and he was heading to a base target to bomb while hugging the ground. When he started rocketing or bombing that base (could not tell how he did it) my RWR started screaming telling that the Su-30SM was locking and launching at me.
That was just with 1 enemy present. Now imagine with a full team. You’ll be kept constantly defensive because of how bad the RWR is (in functionality)
I’m experimenting with the RWR sensitivity settings to see if I can offset that issue without losing important RWR signals at the same time, but it’s annoying having to change that everytime you switch jets.

what does the rwr sensitivity setting even do ?
Decreases RWR sensitivity in the literal sense. If you decrease it you start filtering signal sources that might be coming from radar side or rear lobes for example. Or ignore signals from long-range. Playing with it is a double-edged sword.

10000% skill issue… Just had a game in my F-2A… F-15E hits me from 27km while I’m at 40m alt, notching and spamming chaff… I manage to RTB… He RTBs and rearms… he’s back spamming missiles at me from 30km when I’m barely of the ground… I shoot AAM-4s at him and go defensive and he dies because unlike him I’m paying attention to the map and my team and realize it’s a 2 v 1 and my SU-30SM team mate is coming in from the side so I lived and he got sodomized by an unlubed R-77-1 because 2 RWR warnings are TMI for the USA mains… Oh they guy already had 4 kills from brainless AIM-120 spam
coming back to this post after the recent update, the F15E being at the abysmal 14.0, means that it has to fight planes such as the SU-30SM2, EF AESAs, and now two different types of rafales. Simply put, i just dont think the F15E has anything going for it anymore. It has an extremely poor radar for the BR, one of the only non-AESAs, a now almost average engine pwoer output, and only 8 AIM-120Bs which are medicore at best (C-5s are abysmal and never good). I wonder if the general opinion has changed since the post was originally made?

This is true. I played the F-15E today. Not only that you don’t excel in one area, you don’t excel in any.
Missile quantity - Su-30SM2
Missile quality - Rafale
Maneuverability and agility - Pretty much every aircraft
A/G Payload - Gripen
Radar performance - Any platform

Well it’s at 14.0 so it is expected that anything at 14.3 and beyond is straight up better. We need more decompression.
I think gaijin needs to realize that realistically a .3 br gap is the same as doing nothing with how horrible BR vacuums can be
Not really dead. I see the f15e as a more deadly opponent than the f15ge as a typhoon. It’s 14.0 br is it’s saving grace.
How so, it has less missiles than a typhoon, worse airframe, worse radar, lack of IRST, and even its thrust is barely noticable anymore with how much most other aircraft can push out. I just dont see a single feature that saves the plane besides a .3 br difference, which gets uptiered anyways
Skilled players will use the better thrust to dogfight better. The radar is really only beneficial in BVR which both f15 can’t do cause of the typhoons. Sure my typhoon can kill f15s easier, but I’ve lose to f15es before cause of skill issue. F15ge is way easier to kill which is probably why I see more f15e than f15ge still. That aesa radar is no good for the f15 currently. American pilots need every advantage to push that frame to its limits.
im sorry did i read that right? to dogfight??, im pretty sure the streagle has literally the worst airframe performance in the entirety of top tier, actually probably the worst airframe above like 13.0
the F15E is designed for BVR but thanks to gaijin not knowing how multipathing works for 1, and two putting this brick from the 80s with planes from almost 2010 in some cases, its nowhere near as capable in BVR, and was outdone by even the old rafale at high altitudes
i just fail to see literally any use for the thing whatsoever

Not the one or two circle fights, like engagements within 5-10 miles.
Yeah I said it before but the in service year competition is insane. The F15E is not dead though, its just best used as a mid-late match fighter. The typhoons BVR first.
su30sm2 we have ingame is a future aircraft lol
If the EFT loses an engagement like that against the F-15E that is almost always the result of a mistake or even straight up skill issue by the EFT.
AIM-120C are good only when you restrict your playstyle as a long range BVR shooter, in F15E it means that shooting all your missiles at the initial BVR exchange. IMO it’s the only whay F15E could be played now.
As for F15C GE, I run full 120C, only engaging BVR by the SA of AESA. It could be done if you are smart and with a little luck, and KD is decent. Later game I would run 8 120C + 2 120A + 2 9M, but that’s another type of strategy.
