Bit less, I would say.
The situation about it was a bit complicated. They was far from deciding and build an engine, and the nearest thing to a prototype was a 1:1 wooden mock-up.
Is it photoshopped? Not just colorized? I’ve seen that black & white photo before. I think it isn’t questionable that P43 (not bis) had at least a full-scale mock-up.
Unfortunately imo chances for P.43 are close to 0 and for 44M are quite low as well, maybe if Italian GF was introduced 1 or 2 years earlier, we would already have both. Although I would like to be wrong.
+1.
This is just colored.
The first photo is colorized by u/p43bispo on Reddit, the second one is a photorealistic depiction from this post on the Subreddit. Not sure how it was created, but it looks pretty convincing to me.
To me, a full scale wooden mockup will always be a step up from the blueprint level, but I can completely understand if not everyone has that view.
The 44M TAS would be the best heavy tank for the Hungarian line, but the IS-2 is a great addition as well even though it being mostly a copy and paste.
Italy and Hungary needs both of these heavies in my opinion.
+1
This should rather be an event or batlepass tank if there were any other tech tree alternatives… The thing about the Is-2 is that it just not that iconic compared to a T-34-85 for example, which heavily participated in the revolution too and so on. I really hope the Tas can be the techtree heavy instead. (Or for that matter the P.43)
