SLS made for closer enemies, while the SL shines at higher ranges but is still good in closer ranges
Also, SLS you got 1 Vehicle which has all it needs, but just 4+4(Ammobox) missiles.
While with the SLM you have 2(3) Trucks
1 Radar and up to 2 Launcher Truck which carry each 8 Missiles, all 2 Launch trucks also get an Ammo Box, so you have an 16+16 (Ammobox) Missiles in Total, making it an possible high risk, high reward
Does anyone knows if the fin deflection angle got any fix or it’s just “accepted” for review? In the last dev the missile was pulling around 25-30Gs maximum.
Well not new IR systems. So much the same. Also I don’t see how this differs from chucking ordinary rockets barring they aren’t as accurate. However since they are random kills this wouldn’t matter as much.
I don’t really get how to control this whole thing in third person. All my hotkeys for radar lock etc won’t work anymore. It seems with default radar mode you just see one target locked at a time. Are there more modes? How to track more targets simultaneously. Is it possible to just aim third person, press your radar lock button at the desired target and launch? How?
How to defend vs. ground units? Shouldn’t it be possible to spawn something to shot back vs. ground enemies? The radar truck as well as the missile launch units are completly defenseless.
The SLM has no optical device. Neither in 3rd nor with this new radar screen: You don’t see the enemy. Thats bad for a computer game, shoting green brackets is lame and boring and not exactly visually appalling. Its like playing pacman from the 1980ties.
When you see Diehl footage from Iris SLM, it seems some of the screens inside the control truck show thermal signatures/images of the target objects. How about to add this.
I just hope it’ll sort out. So far I can’t imagine to effectively play these two trucks in highly dynamic Ground RB, with enemy tanks zooming around with 70 km/h, while you hug the radar control screen not seeing whats going on around you.
