> looks at IRIS-T SLM track record
uhhuh…
Hey everyone, let’s keep our focus strictly on the SLM Please avoid bringing up the R-27ER or any other missile it only derails the conversation. What we need now is actionable input that helps us unlock the SLM’s true performance. If you have data, ideas, or design adjustments that can enhance its capabilities bring them in. Let’s cut the arguments and concentrate on solutions. Every contribution should push us closer to making the SLM work the way it’s meant to no more no less :)
i did some testing with new statShark and add more trust to SLM vs the Gaijin SLM and the result is what i expected missile to be
Gaijin SLM: has 18800 booster for 5 second and sustainer 5405 for 10
Ask Gaijin, they are pushing that narrative.
In so many ranges they act as a deterrent to awful pilots and nothing more.
@LibrA
You never know who will you get, that’s true.
That’s why I’m doing what’s the best for myself until they add SBMM.
So all clips I’ve watched are staged as it’s seemingly impossible to constantly dodge missiles under 10km, got it.
That video was also used as a “proof” of how hard it is to play EFT, meanwhile the guy was constantly launching Brimstones under 10km of range while dodging Pantsirs by simply turning.
well since this forum posted on reddit(by someone) we started to see some cas mains coming here
Because it is to high at super sonic speeds
Grid fins behave quite different at supersonic speeds compared to transonic speeds
r-77 at mach 1
r-77 at mach 5
You can see that the grid fins induce way less drag at higher speeds
And if you want to keep arguing go there:
Do we have any credible sources for the thrust?
Sorry but all those clips you mentioned either click baits or recorded by players who has no idea how to use Pantsir effectively.
I’ve watched so many noobs misses one of the easiest kill in Pantsir, especially when they are using auto mode instead of manually guiding.
So yea i cant take your claim seriously in this case.
"Sadly, no i just took the 200kn+ clam from Diehl Defence IRIS-T SLM Propulsion Data (Page 7, “Flight Performance Envelope} total impulse and add it” there is Diehl Altitude/Speed Tables im try to check it out and see what i can do
apology i think the link is not working but if my memory doesn’t fail me i was able to take look like 9 months ago idk what really happened here
I also remember to find more information about the Iris-T in general back then, but i think they just deleted/locked a lot of it due to the current situation in the east :/
oh wow i think so maybe because Germany send more slm to Ukraine the public information that are described its performance were shut down and only marketing one stayed not looking good over here but we still have hope the time to hit on dron more then 30km way and 12km altitude is about 1 minute so the misile should actually reach mach 3 in its 15 seconds flight time and then hold its speed into the 20km mark :)
ironically, Hensoldt seems kinda open about the radar which are usually shrouded in a lot secrecy (atleast aircraft radar)
Ofc they behave differently
Did you even consider of AoA=/=0
Handwaving everything that doesn’t suit my narrative by using skill issue argument.
Sorry but I think it’s best to disagree on this one.
are there any news that gaijin uses the realistic stats of the missile
not like the dev server version?
thats irrelevant, because they even have to high drag in a straight line
and that is because gaijin cant model variable drag due to “engine limitations”
which imo is just a way to say that they dont want to bother moddeling it correctly
you realize that your chatgpt links arent working
you should atlaest take a look at what the AI gives you as a source before you sent that crap in here
Programmers cost money don’t you know, that’s why MythicPi had to code the Puma MUSS functionality for them lmao, and now it’s broken because the code was based on the Trophy APS that’s also currently broken.
