Found another Magazine that they can’t accept:
If it isn’t obvious already, they wont accept any sources that contradict their point. They just read those bug reports, laugh at them, make up some nonsense and decline it.
They already accepted sources. That’s why I wrote I found another one they WON’T accept since it’s a 3rd party magazine again.
Also we don’t contradict their point because they don’t have one.
They don’t know how fast the missile is, my best guess is they tuned it randomly and see how it fits and I hope they realize that this doesn’t match up with what we know for certain.
In the meantime I will continue to dig through the Internet ;)
In the vertical dimension, the requirement was 15 km height as before. In the horizontal dimension, a range of at least 30 km had to be achieved.
The criterion of range is not the maximum flight distance, but the range of the effect. The effective range is the area in which a target can be effectively hit. This also depends on the target or the target’s ability to evade the approaching missile.
Under optimal sensor conditions, the effector technology must be able to engage targets with a probability of destruction of 75 percent in an ideal climate and 50 percent in bad weather.
The IRIS-T SL guided missile could successfully engage the targets over the entire required range, but not in all weather conditions.
The Air Force specialists did not certify the IRIS-T SL guided missile’s all-weather capability because the required 200-meter visibility was not met. In this case, the hit probability was less than 75 percent.
Diehl pointed to the field tests in South Africa, which exceeded the hit probability required by the specifications. In combination with a modern ground sensor, the guided missile has no operational restrictions due to weather phenomena.
tl;dr primary source (Swiss), EFFECTIVE range needs to be AT LEAST 30km horizontal and 15km vertical (meaning a target at that range and altitude has to be hit) while in-game it’s what? 10 by 5km’s currently? Lol.
They accept sources they want to accept. It’s good that you are trying to find more proof that they just invented random numbers and decided to slap them onto stats hoping community accepts it. But don’t get your hopes too high thinking that with even reliable sources you will accomplish something
so are we just gona make a new bugreport? i feel like, and i have stated that alo over the past few days, they are just set on not making it good, and as Necronomica already mentioned ( while it is dumb as hell) a effective range for the mods COULD just mean the range at wich you shoot the target while its flying at you, while i think its dumb, we have to take into consideration that most mods on the issue tracker seem to be… well not qualified clearly and they love making up excuses
if we had it WRITTEN down so that they couldnt talk themselfs out of it that the target did STAY at 30km and flew in an orbit that would be amazing
Why make a new report XD?? There’s already tons of them. And each one of them says the same “not enough info”. They will just look into that new, not answer it, close it and call it a day while scratching balls and thinking they did a good job
can you just hate gaijin in reddit, youtube or somewhere ? so we can actually use this forum for fixing stuff ?
since its a new source, also in hopes that another mod looks at it who might actualy read the docs instead of just aiming to close the report
(if your report gets accepted or not feels like it depends on the mood of whoever is looking at it)
Tbh I don’t care much for it. I play WT maybe once every few weeks lol. I’m just here to show that Gaijin ALSO doesn’t give a care in the world for “accuracy” of things they implement considering most incoming threats tend to be much slower than the interceptors fired at them, so even if the “30km range” is indeed when the missile’s fired at a target, said target would’ve maybe traveled at most 10km’s (but likely less considering the flight speed of the SL interceptor) by the time the missile flies up to it and is capable of actually hitting - which is STILL vastly beyond what we have now. I’ve seen test videos of the SLM, and it is basically useless against manouvering targets beyond 10km’s haha.
Also, IMO, it just shows the missile has to be faster than M2.0 that Gaijin coped out of nowhere. Considering the BAAINBw itself states the MAX range is 50km’s, whereas in WT it’s about 25km’s instead…
If the Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support isn’t a primary source for Gaijin, then I dunno what else can be. They’re just hell-bent on not fixing the SLM the same way they haven’t done anything about fixing the 2A7V.
Tell me, in all those 10 days with almost 900 replies here and all those bug reports, what changed? Nothing
Because there might be a chance that a report needs all valid sources in one place, so why not make one?
Lots of them have been accepted… Lots of them have changed and many bugs have been fixed. The only big issue that is still ongoing is the speed of the missile (maybe also the radar minumum range, although that one will get checked later again)
Can you do us a favour? We are all trying to be positive here and be constructive, you come here and play Debby Downer, please leave this thread to the people that are still trying to get things changed instead of constantly yapping about how nothing will ever change. Thanks.
This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.
The Truth is that we all know that likely nothing is going to change but instead of doing absolutely nothing and just annoying people we still actively look for stuff on the chance of it mattering.
I don’t think anyone here has high hopes for changes, yet we still try.
You have given up completely, I understand, but please go ahead and don#t comment under every source that we find that:
“It’s not going to matter!”
“In the end you will all be pissed!”
“It won’t get accepted anyway!”
You know what you remind me of?
This guy:
Spoiler
I would appreciate it, if you could stop telling us how to spend our time =)
EDIT: Also found this:
Speed is mentioned as " k^2 2" on page 100. You can read the pages before to get all the variables names.
Probably no reason to reply back, as they will just flag everything again. Gl then proving my point further. Played this game for 7 years, same shit was back then, nothing changed, you just don’t realize it
I have been here for far longer lol. I played the game when the D13 had to fight Sabres on a regular basis and we had 20 tiers instead of BR’s…
I have played this game for almost 13 years now (2012) so no need to tell me about how things go, but thanks ;)
Than dont be surprised when comments keep getting flagged/removed…
You want an mimimi/muh RU BIAS/Muh they hate nato thread?
Open your own or join an allready existing one…
But not here, thanks…
Like, Gunjob said allready that he will take an look at the report and see what he can do, and ranting about muh bias and so wont go anywhere…
Already been rejected due to it being written by a university professor…
Oh btw, the Swiss source (primary) also corroborates the BAAINBw’s data:
:)
So I ask, where did Gaijin get their stats for SLM from? Cus the missile has to be quite frankly faster than just M3.0 to reach 50km’s.
