Iris-t slm

Yes i understand.
I incorrectly assumed that you meant the mirror could protect the sensor 100%.
Apologies for the misunderstanding

I apologize if I sounded more aggressive than I meant to be ^^

Seems like iris t still unable to track targets when ordinance been dropped by them and issue with LDRCM still on going (came back from deleting the game and deleted today again lol)

i think that is an universal issue with alot of radars, not even only ground ones

Yeah, the radars with NCTI can discriminate between planes, missiles (rocket) and bombs (small) but there is no functionality to prioritze or ignore stuff. Automatic switching to another signature (plane to bombs) shouldn’t be a thing at all.

imo it is too easy to detect munitions especially missiles

i can get bombs and stuff but not small missiles

Well, the distances in this game are very low and the RCS of the ARH missiles ingame are around 0,04 m² while bombs are around 0,08 to 0,16 m². The missiles also generate a good doppler return because of their speed and at these short distances (up to 30 km) it would rather surprise me if they couldn’t see missiles. They don’t get detected beyond 30 km I think.

they do currently its a big issue in top tier air sim

since planes with high missile loads like the Su-30SM, F-15 GE or F-18E will just shoot all your missiles down while flying at you in a straight line

your oponent will just shoot down your missiles, while you might be going defencive after shooting your missiles, putting you in a disadventageuos spot, since the other guy can just stay aggresive

2026 and still no immune ability to LDIRCCM for IRIS-T missile.

I cannot believe that DLIRCM is still not addressed or even acknowledged in the slightest, a simple “hey we are working on a better implementation that’s fair for all” is all it would take for many of us to have some hope for this vehicle.

Expect some changes on that front once planes catch up and get something that can negate our current AAs.

as if a semi competent aircraft couldnt already negate current anti air. hell theyre so bad you can defeat the missiles by just shooting missiles at tanks which is what youre already doing. datalink is more of a nerf than anything

It’s definitely much harder than before.
Now several nations have good AAs that are, conveniently, mostly useless against new helicopters, unlike against planes.

The iris-t slm changes showed that one nicely.
And how they had to revert kt

great to see nothing hasn’t changed

Spaghetti code = spaghetti pathfinding
And above all.
A spaghetti noodle in sensor view.

Had 2 bug reports on it, “Not enough info” and “Working as intended”

working as intended

the Intended is to make it perform worse by Depleting energy and increasing TOT to make it more Balanced for what it is (not Soviet)

Honestly the SLM is my 2nd worst AA to face as a helicopter. No.1 is the Pantsir.
