SLM works fine against munition.
Radar screen does not work correctly in replays, but you guys must belive me that each missile was for a different bomb.
The missile that hit was in IOG, while the rest were in track, going for something? Im not sure what.
They were likely all tracking the missile ahead of them, so when it blew up, they lost their target. Thats likely why the first one which was being guided by DL worked, but the other 3 didnt.
Wish we got something like this with the director vehicle then having the launchers be the standard EldE 98 without the radar, like a mini SLM, honestly anything other than how they implemented the EldE 98 would have been nice
I feel like the IRIS-T SLM doesn’t fit on the front lines of battles as it’s a long rage AA. Would it maybe be possible to move it back, away from the battle?
I was thinking of something like a zone behind the battle field, the TADS and TEL vehicles would randomly spawn there in some range from each other, the zone would be visible to both teams.
This change could:
Give the CAS more time to react
Give more cover for CAS close to the battlefield
Bring the IRIS-T closer to real life scenarios
Slow down the CAS, having to search for the AA in a designated zones, not small spawns or risk it
With this change, the following would have to happend:
Maybe new class for these vehicles, LRSPAA as in Long Rage Self Propelled Anti Air
Maybe increase the required SP
Limit the amount IRIS-Ts that can be spawned at a time
Maybe insted of more TADS, players could spawn more TEL vehicles (ofc with a limit) linked to a single (or max 2) TADS, the player could control their TEL vehicles with data from TADS
Improve the missile guidance (They still lose DL, often hit the ground, have wierd trajectory, and more)
TADS and TEL would be separate spawn vehicles (TADS would require more SP than TEL)
TADS getting killed wouldn’t kill the system, players could spawn a new one, same with TEL
Limit could be something like “Available vehicles for your team: 1” in the vehicle description.
But you know, this is just an idea.
I’d like to hear what you think, any probmlems this would cause or fix, any changes to this idea.
Now that the sky sabre has been announced with a speed of mach 3, I’m curious to see if the stat card will say 975 m/s (like the slm) or 1029 m/s as it should be
Just a heads up, loft is also not something that can be reported without exact flight patterns against specific targets. It was tried before, and rejected.
Could someone plese link the report, as I’m on phone?
I just saw anti air missile that can fly around 100km range in Dev stream while IRIS-T SLM still unable to get their true capability while any report about IRIS-T SLM almost every single time being rejected… The best part it still can’t counter L-DIRCCM
Why would Gajin introduce a SAM with 100 km range? Would be totally out of what the game is currently at. Iris T practical range is around 15km. As well as Pantsirs. Maybe 20km max.
