Stat cards do not always show the maximum possible factors in game conditions.
mach 3 varies depending on altitude
on a more cheerful note. will gaijin send the wallpaper to diehl defense?
Our PR department is working on it.
nice. big W for gaijin xD
some nice Positive PR right there. hope we get a pic of them hanging it up in their offices
yall got a report for the loft?
I cant send you what is not existing
So Stat Card don’t show the…stats, even thou it says MAX speed it doesn’t display the Maximum speed ?
Just gonna point out that the “conditions” in which the IRIS-T SLM reaches M3.0 in that screenshot provided is in a launch vs a target at over 60km’s away and an unknown altitude, which seems pretty disengenous, seeing as thats well beyond what the missile could ever hit…
I hope Diehl gets back to us with a picture of the poster in their offices 🫡
Someone should recreate that picture in actual battle conditions, I don’t think it is capable of reaching Mach 3 in a real battle, specially against a supersonic target that’s maneuvering. 405 error.
i’d still like to highlight that empty, SLM is still 33kg heavier than SLS, can this really be attributed wholey to the outer shell and control section?
It’s like Stormer gate all over again…
bigger booster
yes the motor is bigger, and thus the shell, how much heavier can it be… tho?
M2.95 is pretty close tbf
in the email it was said the following:
Dear Mr. Stawenow,
Thank you for your interest in our IRIS-T SLM system product.
The deployment of the “Launcher” unit at a maximum distance of 20 km from the “TOC” unit allows for a system range of up to 60 km. The effective range of the IRIS-T SLM interceptor (guided missile) is specified as 40 km. Battlespace coverage with a footprint of 10,000 km² is thus achievable. The exact attainable speed is classified but can confidently be stated as a relative speed of Mach 3.
with that wording i think it shouldnt be barley able to reach mach 3, but easily be able to reach that speed
untranslated Email
That’s what I’ve been saying, also the “Wirkreichweite” of 40km directly translates to Effective Range
