At least for me, SLM’s performance is surprisingly amazing, but it has a stronger dependence on maps because it needs to find a good place to hide the launch vehicle
Just like this, then you only need to control the radar car to enter and exit near the cover to detect enemies and launch attacks
There’s a universal tactic: Right after spawning, use your IR pod to spot enemy AA positions, or have teammates mark them with drones. (Spawn points are currently farther from the battlefield than before). Immediately descend to low altitude for terrain masking against radar. When approaching the combat zone, suddenly climb and rapid-fire GPS-guided munitions or FnF weapons at the AA. Regarding rewards – as shown above – launchers currently share the same scoring logic as drones: You can get points for ‘killing’ them.
My opponents might just be less experienced. Since I haven’t unlocked the SLM myself yet, I can’t fully gauge its capabilities. :) But based on test server results, it performs well against slower targets like Mavericks, yet struggles significantly against high-speed threats like the KH-38s.
nope, I’m not referring to the SL reward between the two, but the difference in research points
Okay… if you insist, what I mean is, shouldn’t both the launch vehicle and the radar vehicle have reward data highlighted in red?
AND… There is no data display in the second picture :P
What I am saying is whether the way u would target multivehicle SPAA would be then different to normal SPAA, since it could be that their launch vehicles are behind buildings and the radar vehicle is the only one exposed, and even then they could have it hide under cover since it is FnF.
Ah, well seems more like an Text issue because it does gave you RP in total, 1562 base +15% (235rp) skill Bonus

I do prefer targeting radar vehicles first, but the narrow engagement window forces me to engage whatever I spot. Also, I usually approach from the flanks where the SLM’s massive, distinctive chassis is completely exposed – none of the SLMs I’ve found attempted concealment. My guess is they avoid hiding behind skyscrapers because it would compromise their own radar coverage.
Is there any way to lock specific targets in third person? My years-old radar lock hotkey doesn’t seem to work anymore. The radar autolocks one target, but how can I lock something?
Is it just possible in this new radar screen? Also my hotley for radar modes won’t work. Are there any modes like TWS where you see several soft-locked targets on screen? Or is it always just one green lock bracket?
Well, there’s a certain SPAA which shows every contact greenboxed on screen, isn’t it? I’d like this kind of situational awareness.
Its strange to play a vehicle which isn’t operable in third person, has no sights. Just this 2d flatscreen which locks you out of the match. Well, it works, but you’re basically playing a game without effects nor graphics. You don’t see your missile flying, you don’t see the target. Nothing. If doesn’t feel like fun. It doesn’t really feel like playing a game.
Is that a special radar-mode ? i always envy Pantsir and Tor players when i see that because it just makes surveillance/tracking so much much more comfortable.
Its kinda boring to sit and watch for radar. I hope later we can see rocket view with button “U”, like for AirRB missiles. Submitted ticket for it Community Bug Reporting System
