I’m almost 100% sure that’s exactly what they thought.
I think in the last patch of the year they’ll revert this if they keep talking about it on the forum; they need to give CAS some time to buy the Su-30
The saddest part is that I can only shoot down drones and helicopters that aren’t level 13.7 with the Iris-T because it’s so useless now. I tried to catch a Rafale that was flying high, and even then it went into the trees and I lost the lock, The missile is already slow, the radar is kind of bad and buged, and they’re still nerfing it
Either Gaijin had no faith in their RU main player base or they seriously under BR’d the Su-30MK to squeeze sales, and both are equally likely. Corb already showed you can drop nukes with the Su-30 in less than 5 minutes, I keep hearing TV guided Kh-29s and Kab TV bombs are bad, but that’s clearly not the case.
And now with excuse that “We decreased the lock range to 4 km to aid against LDIRCM” as a thinly veiled nerf to IRIS-T, instead of ACTUALLY FIXING THE PROBLEM, which is LDIRCM over performing in all areas. It’s downright mind boggling. This is almost as bad as the marketing lie fiasco.

Yeah 43% winrate in October, no new FnF heli, still only laser brimstones, now nerfed SPAA. Truly OP.
But I’m sure the new Tornado with 4 HOSBO (3 if you want to bring a pod) will come in clutch…

They ain t as good as many think anymore
Strv122 was first place then second pace leos2a7v/hu.
But they lost a lot in performance.
Not to mention germany having only 1 good leopard.

It is realistic and a much needed nerf.
It’s armor is very good, especially turret armor. And in hull down positions it is very strong. Especially paired with the tanks good gun depression.
Which is over performing. And also the reload rate is over performing too. Loader fatigue should definitely be added.
Still the few of the strongest in game.
And it isn’t that bad. Look at Chinese CAS for example.
Yes it has an average radar but at the same time it has insane flight characteristics and good enough missiles. Look at the su30sm

Its 100% not realistic, destroying a bit of metal doesnt put the entire engine for turret rotation made to move a 20+ ton turret out of service. Also its implementation is insanely selective but nice to see you agree that its just a nerf.

There is an accepted bug report about these turret baskets being 2 parts, one for the horizontal drive, one to hold the crew and some equipment. As a gaijin classic, this woun’t come into effect for the next year.
