Iris-t slm

The thing I would love to see, is them reversing lofting somehow, by that I mean missile instead of trying to loft up, it would loft downwards, crashing into the ground. It would be funny.

Ahahahahahha no, the Churchill is basically just a Churchill mobility wise. The Elde is not just like any other vehicle, both the rear and front are powered but in game its just a trailer, ill dm you since this is going off topic from IRIS-T

Ah, by the way, does anyone know if Gaijin is aware of the problem of missiles flying randomly after SLM launch, such as not following DL guidance immediately and sprinting in the opposite direction before turning back towards the target?

Same problem on the SLS

IT is the problem with gaijin pre coded, well, ill just call it, “stabilization” flight pattern, where the missile after launching enters a preprogramed vertical climb, then turns horizontal. After that it starts guiding.

The guidance and/or FM of the missile is just completely broken at launch.

like here, where the target was above the missile and instead going straight at it, they pull 40+ AoA looking at the ground while flying/drifting upwards:

once again im trying to get this to pass Community Bug Reporting System (DLIRCM resitance for SLM)

at this point i feel like i have more of a chance to get this to pass by reposting it instead of changing the content, 3 sources from diehl and the post gets closed for not containing and proper sources lol
edit:
new one Community Bug Reporting System

man, it feels like @Gunjob is the only reliable techmod, i mean i get it but how can the ELDE report get accepted while the same for the SLM gets marked as not a bug

This looks like the rocket motor produces negligible thrust during that phase. One would expect the missile to do a sharp turn instead of drifting, judging from the thrust to weight ratio and the very low speed (Mach 0,37).

this is what i mean when i say i think the acceleration is wrong

Good luck proving that xD

There is already a Bug Report that covers DLIRCCM for IRIS-T that got accepted. There is no need to make more bug Reports of the same kind. you can look at This bug report that covers the "Data Links side of the DLIRCM issue ore look at This one that got Accepted and covers DLIRCCM (or IRCCM against Blinding Lasers if you want to put it that way).

Yeah… Gaijin always requests “(historical) sources” for basic things like aerodynamics and physics lol
No joke, they wanted me to provide historical sources that the MiG-23 (before the FM nerf) doesn’t accelerate faster while rolling (higher acceleration than level flight), which it did. Aerodynamical logic says that control surfaces in the airstream produce drag and therefore pose a hindrance → higher drag of the plane → slower acceleration or even slowing down.

Too bad they ask for source and source and then don’t accept classified sources 😔

That is something a marketing lier would say.

nerfed and bugged SAMs in the game try to counteract pilots (who pride themselves on “skillful dodging” of SAM missiles that are not working properly):

if the characteristics of the SAMs and their missiles in the game were real, then the encounters between the aircraft and the SAMs would look different:

Too bad it’s a game.
And wait until anti radiation missiles arrive, can’t wait for the whining.
