Iris-t slm

in the email it was said the following:

Dear Mr. Stawenow,

Thank you for your interest in our IRIS-T SLM system product.

The deployment of the “Launcher” unit at a maximum distance of 20 km from the “TOC” unit allows for a system range of up to 60 km. The effective range of the IRIS-T SLM interceptor (guided missile) is specified as 40 km. Battlespace coverage with a footprint of 10,000 km² is thus achievable. The exact attainable speed is classified but can confidently be stated as a relative speed of Mach 3.

with that wording i think it shouldnt be barley able to reach mach 3, but easily be able to reach that speed

That’s what I’ve been saying, also the “Wirkreichweite” of 40km directly translates to Effective Range

i wonder if they’re annoyed by or proud of the sudden increase in interest

who knows?

lets ask em 😂😂

@Smin1080p_WT

To get it into the correct thread:
Thats the Issue, they are mainly just clips aviable which come from the UA side + the short Video from Diehl which show just the first (3) seconds of an launch, could the UA clips be used or to Hot?

Clips can be used providing they show the lofting profile with a sufficient amount of reasonable evidence that it does not correlate to what’s in game. Of course, the current implementation may be a limitation of what can be replicated in game. But if there is evidence to show its drastically wrong, that can be submitted as a suggestion.

The 2 lower ones are currently, the 1 which is (more ballistic) is what it looks to be from online Videos/clips

Hi Smin, just a small critique on the burden of proof. Most of the time (actually always) this burden lies with the playerbase, becasue they think something is wrong.
But in such cases as this one, where the way the contested thing is implemented is obviously not working right (because lets face it: It does not make any sense why the lofting of the IRIS-T would look like that, not aerodynammically, not physically) I sometimes wish to see the sources of the developers.

Why have they implemented it that way? What are their sources?

From my perspective this implementation is baseless, as I do not know why the devs have implemented it that way…

If u want realitic IR seeker, than add AGM-88 HARM for somehow kill ts

It’s a video available online? Why do i need to censore it separately when it’s a video of a interview with the crew…

I’ve seen ppl on here post LUMR videos just cutting out the impact.

Tbf, Posting the Videos Here on the Forum is against the Rules as political, what is used for bug reports is another story, and currently we are Collecting clips on the DC so we can chose the cleanest

Well, that’s good to what gaijin set up as their rules. Ukraine footage can now be used, but not SFW and with faces covered. Before you could not use it at all.

Nah, they changed that some time ago, but you have to cover faces.
