yeah that’s my point, right now it affects all IR missiles regardless of motor status, angle, quantity, IRCCM or range
i believe the only exception is type 81s and strelas in photocontrast mode
To be fair to them, UV MAWS can work against burnt out missiles if sophisticated enough, see Rafale. Though I doubt Russia has the tech required to built such sensors.
- does not apply to russian missiles
afaik spectra tracks launches, not missiles. unlike a DIRCM system, it doesn’t need to
UV is motor only (maybe even booster only). you need IR or optical tracking once a missile burns out
But does it not track incoming missiles ingame? I am certain it does.
Edit: Or does it also have IR sensors?
i think last update they added some ranging for incoming missiles, you can do that with the strength of the fox 3 seeker or the burning motor. shouldn’t be possible without one of those
Rafale MAWS are IIR, it can track burnt out missiles through skin heating
UV MAWS are optimized for short ranged high clutter environments. MANPAD threats come from the ground, the SAM systems being added and the F&F ATGM’s currently being used to kill helis both loft above targets and fall on them.
You see, its russian.
Yeah sorry ended up being a long day, can I get another link?
Best I could do for you all is a suggestion, but its been forwarded;
https://community.gaijin.net/p/warthunder/i/0EzVoQJ6Xf5k?comment=mH5t3yr8U1DdFzwPFVggHAwq
That one has already been reviewed by a dev, nothing I can do about that chief.
thx
So it looks like they want the shiny new toy to just work and ignore irl
Thanks for helping us out man !
Report is accepted and has been forwarded as a suggestion.
sry that i have to ask but what does suggestion mean. i know suggestin means “Vorschlag” but i always thought accepted means that its get Introduced in the game ? does suggestion mean that u still decide if it get fixed in the game ? more likely like balancing or so ?
In this instance its because the report leans heavily on secondary materials, so it will be up to the developers how much weight those publications are given. If we had a direct manufacturer claim or similar I could’ve classified this as a bug.
So as a suggestion the report will be given more consideration than a bug in this instance.
Since this issue regarding maximum speed has been forwarded as a suggestion to the technical team, what is the likelihood that it will be implemented into the testing server?
