IRIS-T SLM and Multi-Vehicle SAM Systems!

If the red zones are reworked so they dont let you sit uncontested while firing into an enermy spawn, then yes. They should be reworked and removed.

Or in general they should just move the red zones back like idk 500-1000m on all maps (and obviously rework for sure) and thereby expand the maps at the same time, all thats needed for that is literally moving spawns and cap points

Better yet. Let me fire AMRAAMs in Pitbull mode at the nearest tank.

I vouch for this, let me headsmack light tanks etc

Maybe. But not a fan of going back to an era where players would routinely ignore points, skirt the out-of-bounds, just to sit and spawn camp. While it still happens now, it happens a lot less. In fact theres a few maps you could add even more red-zoning off.

Yeah like i said, expand all maps playable area and rework the red zones to not allow you to spawncamp after the expanding

Can we really not spawn on the airfields with these systems? We have 40km range SAMs now and we are barely using a 1/4 of the range. They are also massive and most maps and tank spawns are too small.

Let us control these systems from a safe location, the airfield exists and helicopters get the choice of spawning on multiple helipads, I don’t see why SLM and other long range systems can’t get their own spawns.

It will be a total disaster and a pain to manage both trucks.

Yeah hope they allow us to choose between general battlefield, helipads and airfield, maybe then we can actually use the range properly

GRB turning into a mini SEAD mode will be cool, also it will allow for things like indirect fire to be a real thing. Meme and derp SPGs will have a useful role in the game finally.

Well shells despawn after 6 or 7km so not really when the SAMs spawn on the furthest helipad and airfield, unless they rework that

I’m sure the shell despawn is on a timer, the YouTuber loner did a test of indirect fire on airfields with APFSDS and it sorta works. Gaijin would have to rework it for SPGs since their shells are slower.

Or in general remove that “limiter”

Seeing CAS main especially Russian crying make me think maybe SLM wasn’t enough we should go for SLX

Man the amount of cope from Clear Absense of Skill mains is insane. For once ground players can actually fight back and they just can’t have it.

Maybe people will start liking Red Desert more after they realize that napkin maps are only good for CSGO/tanki online bs, and not for multi vehicle spaa

Also , jets will continue to be spawned into a 15-12km death zone on some maps…but hey lets add air-to-ground and ground-to-air missiles with 40km range and completely ignore the maps that CANT facilitate them. gj Gaijin

“its not fair that they get fire and forget long range missiles” oh the audacity and irony

Off topic, but red desert is really underrated imo

yes that is true, I believe a lot of the modern missiles have a “throttleable” motor to allow them to glide in straight lines and then burn trough turns to maintain energy, but I don’t know the details of specific systems so I’m just keeping to the basics. The big question is what is the NEZ? However I personally think these units should be deployed farther back from the battle field, these are not line of contact SPAA systems. And if you had an air defense area between the battle field and the air field it would allow the forward SPAAs and these things to cover each other and eliminate the top down blind spot they currently have.
Ultimately there needs to be a balance between CAS and SPAAs, but it’s been so one sided for so long I can’t bring myself to care if CAS gets stomped for a bit… and I actually like planes, imagine how the pure tankers feel

Red desert is great. I even like European province.

I love range! It’s so much better! It’s so much harder to snipe breeches from 2km away, you can feel how tanks are designed to fight rather than cs:go in vehicles.
