Information Regarding the Thai Subtree and Chinese Vehicles

The US has it because we triled it and it was produced by Cadillac-Gage just like the type 59 Jaguar was in part developed by Cadillac-Gage (now Textron)

hm. thats a good point. thy it just makes it easier for them to add it to US as USSR didnt get ANY “delivered” or “test” vehiches even when they needed one.

Thy its the T-84-120, the Yatagan. And we are talking aboutt Oplots

agreed. but following chinese guidelines never was logical.

i will critique the chinese community on this part, a lot of them took part on crying for the VT-4( an export vehicle) being added as part of the thai subtree an vehicle that was exported to the nation of thailand, but they have no scruples on asking for other nation vehicles wich also got exported.

As I said that’s counting event and premium you can find the full liste here; there’s the CT-CV 105 HP, Kv-1 1942, ItO 90M, L-62 ANTI II…

I mean the US purchased at least four of them

But u affected me!!!

Well, the T-84-120 was created as a modification of the T-84 of the 90s.

I just dont see any good coming of this. Gaijin refusing to add an export tank to a sub tree that actually used it all because of petty drama from 1 specfic problem community. I really would love it for gaijin to strike up a new deal for a chinese client, let them have whatever they want however they want it on there… however this will never happen. This is 1 pebble that i fear will create a massive snowball effect for future issues.

The person I responded to simply stated that they don’t think anyone would want to see it. They’re wrong, there is at least one person who does. Does China deserve it, probably not. Do I want see it in the Chinese TT, yes.

This is not the thread for USSR tech tree complaints or others apart from what is mentioned in the title. Keep to the topic.

Why in the world is China getting Singapore when they got North Korea, Pakistan AND Bangladesh basically ready to be added LMAO?

Wow, still thinking about Singapore for China? Personally, I’m not someone to care much about the politics within the game, and mostly agree with Gaijin’s philosophy of focusing on what is needed/good for the game–it is a game after all. As a controversial example, I think South Korea should go to Japan and is the single best decision Gaijin can make in terms of improving the Japanese tree. The potential vehicles perfectly complement what is lacking in the Japanese tree, both as it is right now and also later assuming Gaijin adds more of the cool Japanese prototypes. Literally the only downside I can think of for this is in terms of politics/public sentiment because of the actions of Imperial Japan, Japan’s lack of attonement, etc.

And yet, this still doesn’t make sense to me. China and Taiwan still have so many cool vehicles to be added. China is basically right behind the US in terms of potential for the tree, and yet you want to add a subtree that you will use to just give it copy-paste western vehicles. And for any of the unique Singaporean vehicles, at least that I can find, China already has domestic options that can be used. Not only that, but there are other nations like Pakistan and North Korea that would fit equally if not better, and would also not upset anyone.

And that’s ignoring the politics. As a Japanese, I don’t know much about the politics between most ASEAN countries and China, nor do I think I have any right to influence a discussion on the politics (hence my opinion for focusing on gameplay/what is good for the game), but from what I’ve heard and read, it seems most Singaporeans are also against this as well. Just going on public sentiment alone, it seems like Malaysia or Indonesia would have been a much better pick as a subtree.

Regardless, I hate the direction that subtrees have gone in WT, just being used as a lazy way to add more copy-paste vehicles to a tree in order to “help” fill a tree’s lineups. The South African subtree was great; added a bunch of cool and unique vehicles and also helped out the UK tree. But ever since then, the quality has been going done, with one of the most egregious being the Finnish tree for Sweden. More vehicles and lineups are a net positive, but you keep using them as a way to throw some copy-paste vehicles into a tree and call it good. Focus on the domestic options first, especially for a nation like China that has so much potential. None of the unique Singaporean vehicles add something that can’t be covered by a domestic Chinese option, and no one wants to see more copy-paste especially when it’s a tree already known for mostly being as such, at least at the lower BRs.

tbf not every Chinese player is happy to see Singapore being added to the Chinese TT, most of them only felt confused and angry about the talk which basically said nothing.

I’d rather define this as a concentrated outbreak caused by long-term dissatisfaction rather than a simple reaction to the VT4-joining-other-TT-action. Removing the VT4 and adding many copy-paste vehicles——which deprives the Chinese TT of its already limited uniqueness——is like taking a child’s few remaining lollipops from their arms, which ofc wil cause some problems.

A more reasonable approach would be to address the existing issues with Chinese vehicles and supplement the TT with localized vehicles, then consider adding Chinese vehicles to other tech trees.

I personally hate copy-pasting, but I have to admit that sometimes copy-pasting is necessary, but obviously adding Singapore for China TT is unnecessary copy-pasting, and adding VT4 to Thailand TT before solving the uniqueness of China TT is also unnecessary copy-pasting.

and like before, critique on part of the community is pointless, no matter nationality, we should not criticizing an entire group because of a small number of radical individuals.

its fine if that’s ur opinion i just dont think china should get singapore for rather obvious reasons, specially if it removes the capability of china to get more unique vehicles, like my precious AFT-10, and not only that china already has north korea pakistan and taiwan already so its just gonna pack the tt full of spam vehicles that add mostly copy and paste instead of actually uniqueness to chinese TT, that’s why i’ve been grinding china because of its unique vehicles like ZTZ99A or the VT-5

Indonesia not really, their players share very similar opinions from what I’ve seen. Malaysia I am not sure since I haven’t talked to Malaysian players.

That being said I don’t think there needs to be such a consideration anyways because Gaijin isn’t adding the subtree to help China, but to be lazy and not actually address actual issues with Chinese vehicles.
China has a lot of options for new vehicles or fixes/improvements to existing ones that would help, but Gaijin is too lazy.

If Gaijin does that and there’s still a need/demand for a subtree, I think Pakistan, Bangladesh and possibly North Korea (if there is no Korean tree) should be added before others are considered.

Once again, China shall get pakistan and bangaldesh for their TT because this two country has their vehicle and they have good relationship and Taiwan and China have lot of unique vehicle to add still we don’t want pull another tech tree that dosen’t have any releationship with china at all.

yeah that’s why i did not specify everyone, but still a good part for what i’ve seen, also remember that nations like germany have leopard 2’s everywhere or russia having T series spread around, its not regarding wether its a vehicle from another nation but something that the other nation dosent need

What’s the problem with creating an export vehicle tab and making exceptions only for modifications created within the country that purchased the vehicle? Or replacing countries with factories that will open after reaching a certain level, so everyone gets what they want without politics.

yeah and if you read fully you would find out that I agree that adding Singapore to China TT is pointless

so… Why in the wolrd will Gaijin think putting this two together is an good idea?
