Thank you my fan
The current state of the Hungarian subtrees, especially the air one, is absolutely dismal. Even basic modifications of standard Hungarian WWII tanks are missing, like the Toldi (there are other variants besides the BP-exclusive Toldi IIA), and the Hungarian air tree contains ZERO WWII-era aircraft (not counting the premium Bf 109s and Bf 110, which were both added long before the main subtree) despite the fact that the reason for Hungary going to Italy is that they were a “Minor Axis” nation. Such additions wouldn’t even be that resource intensive, such as the MÁVAG Héja (Re.2001) or 40M Nimród (L-62 Anti II), which are largely similar to existing vehicles.
I believe this to be a bad choice. Although, like said in the post, the game is not political, the choices of which nations to group as subtrees should still be done with care, as it requires that each of the nations have at least some historical connection either militarily, politically, or perhaps even culturally. While Indonesia has certainly patched up their relations with Japan since WWII, the two countries are still predominantly just trading partners. This would be like adding Mexico to the US tree simply because they are geographically near, have high volumes of trade, and are broadly friendly (a relationship that is far from unique).
Thailand as a subtree for Japan makes far more sense as Siam was officially an ally/puppet of Japan during WWII.
I also find this to be a bad choice. China already has wonderful options for vehicle variety, considering it has vehicles from the Republic of China already and also does not have many gaps in its research tree except at lower ranks. Pakistan and Bangladesh are both already included into the Chinese tree, and this should be expanded upon. Especially if WWII-era equipment from “Indian” units (which drew upon people from all of British Raj, including Bangladesh and Pakistan) is considered, these two nations are far better and more reasonable alternatives than Singapore for China.
Moreover, China on its own still has countless vehicles that could be added, and really does not need a true sub tree. The suggestions on the forums are an indication of that, as well as many fan-created expanded tech trees.
I agree with this sentiment! However, I think it would be good if it was explicitly stated whether or not plans for a Thai VT4 still exist, as the statement thus far seems to lean towards its addition.
The response rates for bug reports is still relatively poor; about 20% of ALL reports that I have submitted (which are predominantly historical reports) have Never been looked at by Technical Moderation, and a not-insignificant number of those which do get looked at require me to poke a Tech Mod. I don’t have statistics on-hand, but a brief survey of Open reports vs All reports suggests that as many as 30% of all reports have never been looked at.
While I understand that most people who are responsible for this are volunteers who have a finite amount of time and energy, I do think that improving the response rates should be a focus for the developers, however they see fit.
The severity of this issue was definitely worsened during the transition from the Forum reporting over to the new CBR site, which allowed far more freedom to post and removed the moderation queue that forced reports to be looked at before they could be come visible on the forums. The volume of reports sent in (which includes a lot of spam or other non-reports) is so much higher on the CBR site now than it used to be, with over 200,000 reports in the last 4 years and over 50,000 in the last 9 months alone (and not even including the Russian CBR site!).
I urge Gaijin to try and resolve this issue as a lot of the hard work done by players to improve the game (myself included) is often overlooked.
While I think the Thai Air tree has been developed rather well thus far (it could receive more technology from the 1945-1975 period), the ground tree thus far is strangely lacking. Even when only considering vehicles that already exist in-game, curious omissions such as the M60A1 RISE (a later modification of which already exists in-game), or M45A5 (the basis of the Magach 5). There also exists the Type 69-II, although its omission could be a similar situation to the VT4’s omission.
I do hope to see additional unique Thai modifications of vehicles, such as the M163A1 TVADS (with the fire-control system from the Machbet), M60A3 TIFCS (with the fire-control system from later Magach variants), or Type 69-II modernized with a 105mm gun and the 59D’s fire-control system, as well as new vehicles and variants of existing ones which aren’t yet in-game, such as the M901A3, M109A5, FV101 Scorpion, BTR-3E1, BTR-3RK, VN1, and V-150.

@magazine2 How come Singapore is the potential subtree to China? What’s the reasoning behind that?
Why not go for a nation that has some close military ties to China like North Korea, Bangladesh, Pakistan (fleshing it out since it’s already there), or even just adding more Chinese vehicles? There’s plenty of Chinese vehicles to choose from without even needing a subtree.
Why must you (not you directly but Gaijin) consistently rile up the community with stuff like this and then act like nothing happened?

I noticed my comment regarding how review bombing has been the most effective way at getting meaningful change is gone. Sort proves my point if they’re deleting it.

I should be grinding the sky sabre instead watching this lol
Indeed, many of the active Canadians I know have been quite loud in asking for a home, yet our wants are ignored.
Just another example of Gaijin “listening to the community”, then proceeding to do everything opposite of the community. India, Singapore, etc. are just more examples of that.
Gentlemen, your discussions are absurd. You’ve forgotten where the developers are from. As a Russian, I can say that to make them work, they need to be beaten with a stick. You can’t beat them with a stick; you’re weak and disunited. The Chinese are united and strong, so they beat them with a stick. That’s why I research the Chinese branch and buy talismans there. I advise you to do the same.

What is your definition of racism?
i will just wait for the daily bonuses to activate, cba to grind without those tbh
Unfortunately, your master America also recognizes Taiwan as part of China.
Strange decision to use gasoline to put out a fire.
