Thailand already has a place in game, there is no demand from Thai players to change it. From a gameplay standpoint there is also no issue here as the UK already has multiple other subtrees (South Africa, India, and to a limited extent other commonwealth nations) and so does France (Belgium and the Netherlands), with both even having alternatives for future subtrees if needed.
There is no reason to change the placement of this subtree.

It becomes a lot more obvious its about nationalism more than the actual game when you notice a lot of these players that are crying about the Thai VT4 don’t even play China to begin with. Some of them have no games played in any tier Chinese vehicle.

I agree this is a stupid argument. As soon as these vehicles were sold their manufacturers lost their right to decide this. Only Singapore matters.
In the Thai case, they did not take issue with it, so the placement is good. In the Singaporean case we will have to see the reaction of Singaporean players.
Most I have talked to didn’t want Singapore added to China, generally asking to be placed with Israel instead for the stronger military connection.
I just hope Gaijins decision will actually be based on Singaporean feedback, not lazy unwillingness to fix Chinese domestic vehicles.
If it is the Singaporean opinion I will agree with any placement.

Anyway, since someone has set this bad precedent, if in the future anyone objects to Ukrainian or Estonian, Latvian, and Polish vehicles being included in the Soviet Union, everyone can ask why vehicles from these countries cannot join the Soviet Union. Everyone knows how good the relationship between Poland and the Soviet Union used to be, as well as the three Baltic states. Since most Americans have no objection to free combinations, let’s add a Polish subtree to the Soviet tech tree. Everyone can’t wait to experience the Soviet Union’s Polish Abrams.

This is the worst part honestly. Maybe we should stop treating national communities like an “enemy faction” and instead work together. All of us just want a fair and fun game.
This goes both ways too, there is people on both sides arguing in bad faith.

I think you are forgetting that all of these nations have their own players that can still disagree. Players can’t just be from the “main” in-game nations.

If Polish players disagree with their nation placed with USSR in the first place, then it should not be added to USSR.

But if American players disagree to USSR techtree Polish Abrams while Polish players want it, then it should be added because it’s a Polish tank, not American.
It doesn’t mean nobody can disagree, just that the Polish opinion matters above all else, since it is their vehicles in question.

i have yet to see anybody attack the chinese on the singapore tt matter, i have seen multiple people compare the possible singapore tt already to the thai Vt4 matter though, which is profoundly stupid and will of course lead to pointless arguments.
