4k you pulled from enlisted is concurrent counts not really a fair comparison. The game is also dying and because its not inside the WT launcher people dont on a whim try a match out here and there like they are inclined to do with naval, the numbers for naval would be even more atrocious on its own seperate launcher.

Most that play naval, play it exclusive. Therefore they dont care if its a different game or not. And the few u get from smt like the battlepass challenges are not really players u want.
All in all wt already has a very big problem with to many gamemodes thst divides the playerbase. Adding to it would not make the game healtier.
Before u add infantry you need to add tank only… and that ist smt they dont want as they cant sell CAS there.
Player controlled infantry just makes no sense in this game.
15v15 and enemy goes into 5 infantry is like an autowin for the team with no infantry. One infantrymen cant carry alot anti tank stuff around and it cant attack an tank driving 50+kmh around and zooming across the battlefield.
At the same time u can just spray every infantry away with .50 or just HE.
Infantry is also very slow in comparison , how they going to be effective in the game? Just point defense? Have fun getting HE away or artyd.
Enlisted maps are much much smaller and the tanks are oldscool and spawn behind. Also the maps there have a öot of limits to where a tank can go and tanks are not third person.
In wt u would simply get shreddet to hell.
It makes not really much sense to bring or want infantry in WT.

I feel like “soldiers” will take up crew slots, it will probably be a squad of specialized units, like anti-air, anti-tank or storm troopers to fight other infantry. It will probably be AI controlled.
The game texture’s and maps are quite low res for any type of first person view. It would be cool if we could control them in first person and get to engage other players and tanks in real time, but that’s Enlisted’s job, and it does it quite well. So, AI controlled units fit War Thunder better and it won’t siphon players from Enlisted.
But it could be an entire new game, infantry and War Thunder just don’t mix together, not to mention the ESRB/PEGI rating going up as well if they go with first person and show blood and violence like they did in the trailer.
Definitely going to add premium to it, depending on if the premium is a whole new load out or not I’ll like it

war thunder could solve the biggest problem of enlisted number of players
also gaijin would save alot of money by merging two games which are pretty similar technically speaking(we even saw in the ww1 event war thunder can have ai infrantry)

Again… wt always had AI infantry. Since ever.
And enlisted biggest issue is not the playerbase but the game itself.
Good games gain players with time, enöisted is losing them, there its not a good game. Good game may be a term thats highly personal but u get the idea that i basically mean its not good enough to gain more players and it also shows that gaijin is struggling really badly on where to go with it, as they completely overhauled the systems at least once, without a gain of players.
Not sure why people wamt a fkn first person shooter in WT… it simply dosnt fit the game, same as helis btw. They also disnt fit the game and all they did is making tank balltes more annoying, especially the first years when they came out.
U gain in one part, u lose in another. WT was fantastic for tankers 8 years ago, and changed into smt completely differnt, losing a ton of players that enjoyed the old more competitive gamestyle.
Now its just a more casual friendly, anyone can kill anyone without much knowledge needed and u can buy your way into the easy tiers and vehicles and drones that cant be countered from normal tanks (to get atleast 1 free kill vehicle, whole CAS debate) game.

Pay to win/pay to progress(or just grind for Years)and bias to one Side
What can you play Thats like warthunder? Well nothing besides that one other tank game
What can you play Thats like enlisted? Well almost any military Combat Shooter, battlefield 1 5 4 and what ever that “love letter to the fans” was, pretty sure most cod games also have tanks and infantry not to mention the contles arma style games
And the imo Biggest reason why also naval failed,
Investment
Basically if you have spend 4 or more years to get top tier planes and tanks
And you play naval and realize you would need another 2-3 Years to get to top tier naval odds are high you basically go na f this. In particular because naval dosent give you anything in other gamemodes and the naval grind is just painful in general
Same with enlisted its grind and monetary sation
Makes it mainly attractive to warthunder Players which dont want to move ship (well even if maintaining both warthunder and enlisted is just to much for most people given both games are planed has full time Jobs)
So you are agreeing enlisted is going down.
Which does put gaijin in strange situation
They can just end enlisted for good and lose everything they invested in to it and the ammount of Players that are left at the time of closure
Or They Merge the two games which would keep all the enlisted players, it would be well invested dev time given all the vehicles and infantry can be used in warthunder which would mean alot of Content and almost unlimitedly ammount of stuff that could be introduced
WT is also not gainig more players despite the more and more ads…
So thats that.
But u cant simply merge games when they have fundamental core differences.
Like dune, its a mixup game, that makes many people sad and it loses players due to that. If they would have simomy cut put pvp there, it would have less frustrated players and more sells.
Same isse in WT, u bring player controlled infantry, u habe a weird mixup that many or most will hate.
Like i hate helis in my fkn tank battles, as i come from a time where they didnt excisted and i liked the game much more without them… now they are here and for me and many others the game got worse.
Which was nothing more than a background set-dressing, mostly seen on test flying maps (which are gone now) and, if you want to be pedantic, the recoilless AT guns (consisting of 2 people and the gun itself) spawning on skirmish events for heli PvE and EC modes (sim and sometimes top tier ARB)
Which tells me adding infantry will be controveral
But there will be enough people that just say spawn whatever is considered close enough to a Counter and get gud

Talking about player bleed due to some wt mechanic changes dosnt really work, as gaijin increasingly does ads. Making the indication of player gain/lose after a change absolut unusable. Sadly.
As in my perspective the biggest playerloss was when rangefinder autoaim / heli / a4e stuff came to the game, in these years the game lost a shot ton of old players. Due to the covid and gaijin started an ad campain the got instandly replaced by fresh player… but did these changed made the game better in term of a better competitive “esports” team pvp game? I would certanly say no. Did it made it more attracktive to more casual players? Yes, it did.
But makes a more casual friendly game the game a better game? Especially a better PvP game? No. Alone the fact that Competitive PvP is less popular makes it already less casual friendly.
Then why was the video uploaded from WAR THUNDERS YOUTUBE CHANNEL.
Because IT WAS APRIL FOOLS VIDEO and both warthunder and enlisted are FROM THE SAME DEVELOPER

Smae as i am still against not having a tank only mode, even though i spawn myself 2+ CAS every single battle below 9.0
