Yeah same here, I care how they will be handling the WW1 stuff
framework DaNet What is this?
Don’t give them any ideas please
i know that event how new did you think i am? The event content with the space craft didn’t stay this one tho will
i was calling storm warning a nothing burger which should have just been in firebirds
battles of the Staelite, as it was once hahahaha
I have no idea how new you are - just that you apparently didn’t know about space combat or you shouldn’t have asked the question!
Will this one stay? Hopefully yes - but not a lot of them do., and there’s already Enlisted for infantry combat, so there’s quite a lot of interest in whether this is going to be some sort of merge of game systems or not.
Best april fools for some time
I don’t think infantry will ever come to War Thunder- but I believe modern combined arms warfare is a real possibility they may be considering; be it a campaign for Enlisted, or a whole new game.
I really hope it’s the second; Enlisted is very cool, but, at the end of the day, the body itches to go back to a simpler and more reliable/familiar formula. Although, having the assets, it would be really nice to have a modern day Enlisted campaign too!
As I said; imagine BF, but with everything related to vehicles being WT’s (including our signature mouse controls for aircraft) and gameplay being just a biiiit more realistic and slower paced than BF, but still being faster and more casual than Squad.
If we get FPV drones then I would also expect the Goliath tracked mine for WW2 tiers, along with possible equivalents from WW2 and early cold war, especially since the Goliath was available during the Sturmtiger event.
I think Heavy tanks should be getting things like this though. They currently have no “special abilities”, unlike light tanks, medium tanks, and SPGs with scouting, artillery, and ammo replenishment.
I would jump if this isn’t added permanently
meh, the first Update of the new year after all the stuff that comes over the holidays has always been pretty “light” . . as far as I can remember anyway(but I am pretty old, so . … ) and they don’t all have to be mega content updates . . we have gotten pretty spoiled. And it will come to a point where Updates could become smaller, less content but still on about the same “schedule” . . time will tell.
I still get a little excited when new stuff comes in, and that’s a good thing . . . when the updates do start being “stale” all the time, means you are losing interest. WT is like an old friend to me, not ready to “cut ties” . . I still like shooting stuff . . . . pew pew pew
@Stona_WT Can you confirmed or deny if this will be coming as a permanent addition or just for april fools?
I hope to hear more on what they will gonna do with the WW1 tech perhaps similar to tailspin ?
I just want the infantry if i’m being honest. These things could really add some balance to the game which would be super cool to see and i’m praying to what every god is up above that it is permanent.
Good lord no . . . Tailspin was bad, sped up far too fast to even be enjoyed . . . half the planes you shot didn’t even register because the game couldn’t keep up. And unfortunately, they have sped up Air AB at least twice since then.
Faster is not better, it’s just faster is all. You get to a point and it messes up game play so much that it is literally even worse. We are at that point with Air AB now . . any faster and it would be ruined for decent game play.
The planes looked kinda cool, but the cartoonie side of most of it didn’t appeal to me personally. I’m a gamer and not really a military enthusiast, I like shooting stuff . . but within reason.
idk if you were active at the time but firebirds got delayed by weeks meaning that storm warning had only a month of development. Gaijin should have delayed firebirds further and included storm warning within it
I mean tech tree layout
Enjoy your infantry, who needs BR decompression.
The trailer for the infantry April’s fool update is placed 17th on the YouTube trending page! The hype is really there for a modern infantry shooter with detailed vehicle mechanics.
