I mean, you don’t really expect Gaijin to add infantry to WT, do you?
Not a bad take honesty. The game doesn’t feel like its in the best state. Like graphically yes, but there’s enough wrong at the core that this doesn’t seem unreasonable. Ground research progression is still bad, Sim Battles are getting treated about as well as Naval at this point, BR compression is still an issue for a lot of us, and certain balancing decisions remain unchecked or barely even acknowledged.

Seems sad that this is the most unique war thunder has gone just a shame it will end up being a test for a month, you guys don’t know how bad I want a WW1 tree for ground and air.

I am with you there on the WW1 content. And I don’t want to have to pay/download an entirely new game to get part of it (that being Aces of Thunder which just has a handful of WW1 planes).

I hope the WW1 vehicles are to be permanent. The infantry definitely should be just a test. Chances are it will be awfully buggy during the test so it would give Gaijin time to refine them to then add later on.

I mean, as far as we know the event could not have any WW1 content whatsoever. We have a trailer showing modern day stuff and the trailer usually was the thing that “teased” the event gameplay.
The announcement talking about WW1 content could mean that either the announcement, the trailer or neither of them are red herrings (wouldn’t be the first time they hosted two april fools modes)
It could be that 1 is a genuine addition and the other will be a temporary event
Well, we will have to see, but I don’t think either of these possible events are going to be genuine additions. At least not yet.
