What do u expect? Gaijin are not gonna rip off them selves, allowing WT to have that is like actively reducing enlisted’s entire point of existence, nvm that might be a bad decision for making cash, it takes a lot of money to install it to WT as well.
the dev team behind enlisted apparently go liquified and the game has been getting ran into the ground so i dont think enlisted is a massive money maker anymore
IDK how or why they would liquify an entire dev team, considering there aren’t any projects similar to enlisted. If that is true though, they could merge it into WT.

Even if they plan to merge Warthunder and enlisted they would probably just merge the development

This looks very similar to real life where prices of many things skyrocketed due to “inflation”, all the while salaries are lagging behind quite a bit.
Thing is gaijin sees every tree has separate Content
So if they decide half a year with 4 hours a Day with avg Score is considered a good time to Reach top Tier
It would still take 5 years to Reach top tier across all nations
If you include air 10 years
And so on including Naval and you are looking at 20ish years for everything (also new vehicles get added )

But unlike real life it would take no effort at all to resolve this, instead they are casually adding millions of RP in copy paste garbage and casually extended the grind by months per update without any form of adjustment to RP gain.
It is an obvious thing to compare infantry in the WT WW1 even with Enlisted…
But I think the WW1 infantry were programmed with very limited capabilities and objectives - advance to points that had been capped, occupy trenches in what looked like pre-programmed positions, throw grenade bundles if tanks close enough.
Some of htem also moved a long way across no-man’s and past the objectives.
I don’t know if they shot at each other - but they (or at least MG’s) certainly shot at tanks and aircraft.
Enlisted infantry AI have a much more complex setup - and are bloody useless at it for the most part!! But of course they have to cope with multiple maps and scenarios so I guess the simple behavior of the WW1 event would make them even more useless!
IMO neither are looking good for a decent infantry game!
I think infantry could fit perfectly in the game ONLY if the troops remain as AI units.
For a long time, we’ve had many vehicles that are little more than soft targets but if we get infantry, we get a huge gameplay sandbox. Just about every vehicle type and nation in the game would benefit from the addition.

Who would benefit from infantry and how?

- Tanks get an additional use for machine guns, and HE rounds
- SPAA can do more than target aircraft and light vehicles
- Light tanks (APCs/IFVs) can gain points for the actions that their infantry completes, for example “Enemy aircraft destroyed” or “objective captured”
- Utility and transport helicopters can get points for the actions of the infantry that they deploy and have an additional use for rockets, and machine guns.
- Planes would gain additional use for most of its air-to-ground weapons
- New game modes could be added centered around infantry support.
How do we balance the infantry mechanics?

- Give them a limited ammo capacity
- Give them reload times
- Give them different speed values
- Give them different detection values. For example, Rifleman having a lower spotting range than recon.
- Limit their spotting to only 2 enemies every 30-45 seconds (For recon)
- Limit the effective range of units
How to add them the easy way:

- Just give vehicles with a carrying capacity the ability to deploy troops (Spawn them near you) and give the troops basic pathfinding. Each squad would be equipped rifleman and have a set number of troops through all vehicles across every nation
- Have a generic base for all the infantry BR-specific skins with no sign of alliance with real nations
How to add it the complicated but awesome way?

- Give players the ability to choose their infantry squad variations before spawning, similarly to the weapon loadout option we already have.
- Give players the ability to upgrade the squad’s stats like the crew stats we have now. This would increase stats like accuracy, movement speed, line of sight, reload speed, range etc.
- Give players the ability to upgrade infantry weapons; all players start out with riflemen and have the ability to research different weapons, infantry types, and gadgets. For example, recon getting Lazer designator or anti-tank units upgrading from unguided AT weapons to ATGMs.
- Add infantry skins that players can buy or unlock; historical or fictional
- Animations for infantry entering and exiting vehicles.
If you think it would ruin the game modes we have now, this could always be a separate game mode.
