This was never about the armor but the betther performance it woud have at its tier but if you want another top 9.0

Small nitpick, I wish non-main armor parts like those bits of structural steel got more than a generic 4mm structural steel.
It also has the APDSFS shell and LRF from the Mk10.
It’s not really comparable. The T-55AM1 is an upgrade of the T-55 to give it armor equivalent to the T-64. The Chieftain 900, on the other hand, is a prototype that was planned to use Chobham armor, but only the hollow version was made. I don’t know if it would have been 5mm, 10mm, or 50mm, but it’s clear that it wasn’t a production model and wasn’t complete, as it didn’t have Chobham armor.
The Chieftain 900 isn’t op at 9.0 at all. If you look past the T-55 or Strv 103 that aren’t 9.0 worthy vehicles you have the XM-1 Chrysler, XM803, M60 TTS, Object 279, TAM that are better than the Chieftain 900 and a lot of other 9.0 that are on par with the 900. To put it at 9.3 because it has 140hp more than the Chieftain Mk5 and a dart is crazy considering the amount of 9.3 that are so much better. The armor isn’t worth anything against APFSDS and if it stays at 5mm structural it won’t even protect against HEAT. It would be a Khalid with a useless vismod and 400hp less at the same BR.

Keep in mind that the T-55AM1 is a little under-armored, and especially under-penetration at 60° from the 3BM25. And the Strv103C is missing its equivalent to the DM63.
That’s because its basis was a Chieftain 5/3 which had a LRF. Though if Gaijin is adding it as is, it shouldn’t have APFSDS. APDSFS was an optional upgrade on a later broacher only.
L15A5 is in game, it’s actively the same as 15A3 for no reason.
This isn’t the MK900 its the chieftain 900.
The MK900 has a plethora of changes to it, I realised that when I was talking to @_Froge as I linked him to a different post about themk900 rather than the 900
Fair enough, didnt even know there was a Mk900 that was different to the 900.
Was just being lazy, and calling them Mk3, mk5, mk10 and mk900.

Just bear-in-mind L15A5 won’t be a massive jump in performance. Might be the same or very slightly better flat pen, but better sloped pen.

then it would be more fitting for 9.0 no? Imagine that, 310 flat pen, and 180 odds angle pen.
I’d rather the round be made proper tbh man , kind of got obsessed with it. :D
