Increase the cap for squadron RP gains per period.

Fully agree with this. Making the grind easier for everyone is always apprechiated. I also belive that SQ vehicles should get a discount when the sales come. Doesn’t have to be 50% like the other vehicles but a 30% decrease would be welcome.

Also to the 2% of people who don’t want this I hope both sides of your pillow are very hot for the forseeable future. Except for those who like their pillows to be warm. Then I hope it’s ice cold.

This would make it easier for low level noobs to play high tier vehicles that they know nothing about.

So which version of doing this would you support?

  • Increasing how many points you have to do every 3 days from 360 (=72,000 RP earned) to keep up (also increasing everybody else’s point max in your squadron); or

  • Increasing how many players have to be in a squadron to get those higher maxes? (256 players for 40k, presumably 384 for 60k).

Because as I show in the article I link, both have downsides that could affect more players than would be helped by this. At 40,000, IF you don’t also make squadrons bigger you’re helping 10,000 players but hurting over a million others. At 60,000 it’s even worse. That’s why both options presented in the poll are hardly ideal.

(As far as making the squadrons bigger, another downside with larger squadrons is the burden it puts on those managing them. Keeping 128 people happy and contributing is a non-trivial amount of work with the given tools, for no real commensurate reward for squadron commanders. Managing 256 with the tools they’ve given us would be… shudder.)

You can believe the squadron RP system needs improvements (and it does) without supporting either of these specific options here.

You do realize that neither of these are good options and that the only ideal solution is to simply increase the rate of SRP gain alongside the cap right?
The grind should absolutely NOT scale up, requiring at most 360 points per period is perfectly fine, its the pittance payout you get for it (20k is achievable in a single match if you do well enough) that needs a flat out increase.

I will admit that maybe i wasn’t clear enough but that is the intent here, its the cap that should change, the actual grind aspect to reach that cap should stay exactly the same as it is right now.

Wait, a “single match”? 360 = 72,000 earned RP. You regularly get 72,000 RP in a single match? Which mode is that again?

sim mode, its easy to get this amount of rp.

Would love to have 40k or 60k instead of just 20k, but at the same time I have a bunch of squadron vehicles unlocked I can’t buy/crew yet because I’m short in SL and I have premium time. I spent my last millions on the su-30sm2 and the typhoon aesa and now the jeff and the belgian F-16 will have to wait again

Ok, so this is clarifying. Your OP title talks about increasing the “cap”, but what you’re really advocating for it turns out is a simple doubling or tripling of the rewards for squadron activity… Instead of 200 game RP per activity point it’s 100 (or 67). Which is functionally the same as cutting all the squadron vehicle RP costs by a half or 2/3, really. Probably faster to do it that way, tbh.

Im comparing it to regular RP, you can get 20k RP in any single match on practically any mode relatively easily while with squadron research you have to wait 3 days to get an equivalent sum.
