In anticipation of an upcoming Pakistan subtree

Personally, I think. The reason why GAIJIN keeps adding Soviet tanks to the Chinese tree is that there are too many Soviet cars, so they are put on the Chinese tree.

Oplot is not a soviet tank
Soviet union died on 1991
the Oplot was born in 2009.

yeah i much prefer to have the Oplot-P because i dont want a copy paste tank from thailand with a pakistani flag.

Can we try adding it? AH1Z.

kinda,

The Americans wanted to sell us around 110 A-7H models when the russian invasion of Afghanistan was underway. This was apparently a carrot to dispel Pakistani plans to acquire aircraft that were nuclear-capable (to carry nukes). But Pakistan rejected the offer after trials, as the aircraft was simply not what we needed.

They offered to give us F-5Gs and F-16 J-79s, but we eventually went with the standard Block 20 or something with MLUs later on.

Other sources claim that instead of Pakistan, it was Kissinger or his administration that eventually blocked the deal from going through (despite offering it in the first place) after realising PAF plans to acquire a nuclear-capable aircraft. However, I’m not sure if the A-7 was nuclear-capable.

im wondering where we would put the ground and air vehicles in the tree. should they get their own line or do we just spread them out in existing lines?

future air tree could def go in the JH-7A strike line or H-5 bomber line to give them something more to those lines.

ground idk if we just throw all them in with the current export/ROC line with the VT4, M1A2T etc or do they get a completely new line?

So, what does Pakistan bring that actually researching and implementing domestic Chinese vehicles doesn’t? This just seems like an excuse to copy paste Russian weapon data to save effort and pad out the grind.

It brings some interesting vehicles like the supermarine attacker:

B-57:

Mirage 3 and Mirage 5 but I feel like the more interesting vehicles will be their modified F-6 allowing it to carry AIM-9s and SNEB rockets and the F-7PG which is an upgraded J-7E capable of using magics and aim-9L, as for their F-16 don’t want anymore copypaste F-16 tbh while these aircraft will surely be welcomed I feel like upgrades of existing aircraft should be added first like the improved variants of J-7II or even J-8A which is the original version of the J-8

Ngl mig-19 with SNEB rockets sounds interesting

I have another thread detailing all the vehicles pakistan does have, but this is mostly for the unique ones that could work for a GREAT subtree.
Those include the Al zarrar variants (around 4-5), domestic mid br spaa with domestic SAMs, Viper IFV, Oplot-P, VT4P/Al Haider (hasbetter ERA), T-80UDBE (TRUST ME its not in game, its basically a T84 but unique to Pakistan). BATTAR RRC with a raised turret making it immune to enemy attacks.

Air tree would love the jeff, our mirages, our F-7 variants (better J-7E with HMD and Aim-9Li-1) and more.

in addition to the british copypaste(heh) Pakistan would offer a CAS option for 5.7 and 6.0:

Pakistan was pretty much the largest operator of the sea fury. They had the unique FB.60
