I know it is the first iteration of the dev server but the Roma is pathetic and that’s a problem.
Italy doesn’t have anything in the cards for a better battleship unless you get creative with Impero. Even then the Littorio and Venetto will be LESS capable as the first series of the Littorio class is smaller with less crew and has an identical armament.
The RoF is “historical” so what? You are giving ships that NEVER EXISTED really good fire rates despite there being no evidence to support it. (Gneisenau, Kronstadt (both types), Soyuz). You use load times as a balancing mechanic. Balance the Roma more favorably.
You are missing the concrete foam in the armor. Even if decapping is too difficult to model, you should still give at least the improved basic protection it would provide.
The main battery ammunition underperforms compared to the Demarre formula’s results. If you use the demarre formula use it accurately and give the ship the pen it deserves.
This is the pinnacle ship for Italy. It is weaker than it should be. That is unfair and discourages Italy players from even bothering with the ship.

nah it clearly should be worser than best nation - soviet union and clearly worser than sovetskiy soyuz ship.
Spoiler
bad joke, but quite real for current situation

Yes we all know about the naval dominance of the Soviet Union. The nation who made the best ships. Oh … wait …

Gaijin is really all over the place when it comes to the criteria for RoF. US naval players had virtually dismantled every single argument Gaijin made for keeping the Standards reload at 40 seconds. Now the ‘reason’ for not correcting their reloads is that its for balancing reasons. But then have no problems giving Amagi and Mutsu 24 second reloads.
I wish the Italian players had the Roma brought up to the usual standard of 30 seconds. But seeing how long it took Rodney to boost her RoF, its gonna take a lot of effort.

I agree. Especially modeling the concrete foam which should enhance the survivability. And changing the reload shouldn’t matter in a game. Additionally this is realistic game mode which we all know is not real and not a sim game mode. So change the reload speed some and help the Roma.

Yeah, Im not really sure what they are doing Gneisenau and Sevastopol should have 60-70 second reloads but have less than 30.
British 15" should have 25. 16" should be 30. US ships should reload faster than they do now.
And then you have Italy with a very long reload for their top tier.
Its just… wierd how inconsistant they are. Sometimes they enforce RoF with an incredible amount of conviction and then at other times just ignore all IRL data and set it to whatever they feel like

it’s ridiculous to have that reload on that ship, without crew skill we’re talking about 60 seconds, expert 48 and ace 45…while the reload of the bismark is clearly buffed and totally invented, 24 for 0.3 of br is ridiculous, if we want to be realistic the 380 Germans in battle gear loaded more or less 1 shot per minute, ships need to be balanced for everyone, every time there is a series A and series B nation in this game

I have not problem giving all ships max RPM with aces crew, so Sovietski Soyuz get it’s deserved 2.5-2.6 RPM.
A post with this much frustration in it isnt going to have any effect on the ship. Firstly as you mentioned yourself its a first dev server, bismark for example doesnt even have arnour yet. Secondly if you really want it fixed go to the bug section of the dev forum and report them. Posts like this just make yourself and others more frustrated unnecessarily.
I had a stroke reading your message, BUT the Italian community is already actively reporting and gathering every piece of evidence that the values for both the pen and Rof are wrong. These posts are actually very useful to bring awerness about this whitin the community aswell.
Since tou talked about bug reports you should have at least checked there and you would have seen multiple reports already made (and the pathetic responses from the staff)

No i didnt need to check the bugs reports for your issues. Making the reports is what makes the difference, getting people wound up over an incomplete ship doesnt fix or change the problems at all, your bug reports will get the same attention regardless.
Then don’t fire away with the usual line about bug reports.
I don’t think you actually understand how things work…

Outcry is far more effective than bug reports. Historically.

this is never the case. nothing has ever been fixed without a bug report

been around for at least 14 years now so i have a pretty good idea having been a closed beta tester.
Problem is, some things aren’'t bugs, but purposeful actions made by the devs. As we have seen repeatedly with naval, they often make decisions and choices without consulting the naval community, then utterly ignore those who speak out on it or report it.

Regardless they get reported as bugs or they dont get fixed. Secondly getting heated over a first iteration of the dev server is pointless. As i said earlier bismark for example doesnt even have armour yet. Nothing is finished or final on the dev.
Though gaijins track record for reload rates has been…
All over the place
So i get the concerns
