If the a-10c why these aircraft should these aircraft not get fuel tanks?

I would like to propose the addition of external fuel tanks to several aircraft in game With the recent update where the A-10 and A-10C received external fuel tanks, it would be a great opportunity to extend this feature to other aircraft that historically utilized these tanks. This enhancement would increase realism and give players more strategic options in missions.

Aircraft for Consideration:
The following aircraft should be considered for the addition of external fuel tanks:

  1. F-86 Sabre (All Variants):

    • The F-86 Sabre (all variants), a key player in the Korean War, frequently used external fuel tanks to extend its range, particularly in combat air patrols and escort missions.

. MiG-15, MiG-17, MiG-19 (All Variants):
MIG17

  • These early Soviet jets were often equipped with external tanks for extended operations, especially during the Cold War period.

. F-104 Starfighter (All Variants):

  • The F-104 was known for its high-speed performance but had limited range without external tanks. Adding these would reflect its operational usage more accurately.

. G.91 (All Variants):

  • As a light attack and reconnaissance aircraft, the G.91 often carried external tanks for extended sorties over longer distances.

. Me 262 (All Variants):

  • The Me 262, the world’s first operational jet fighter, had the option to carry external fuel tanks to increase its limited operational range.

. F-3D Skyknight:

  • The F-3D, an all-weather jet fighter, was commonly equipped with external tanks for extended patrol and combat missions.

. F-8 Crusader (All Variants):

  • The F-8, often referred to as “The Last Gunfighter,” carried external fuel tanks to ensure it could reach distant targets, particularly in the Vietnam War.

. F-84 Thunderjet (All Variants):

  • The F-84 series, particularly the Thunderjet and Thunderstreak variants, relied heavily on external fuel tanks for its bombing missions and long-range escorts.

. Bf 109K-4:

  • The Bf 109K-4, the final operational variant of the famous German fighter, was equipped with external tanks for extended range during its late-war missions.

. P-51H Mustang:
main-qimg-7bbb76b220cf1096853452e00d28fb8c

- The P-51H, an advanced version of the legendary Mustang, was designed for long-range missions and often carried external fuel tanks for extended operations.

. Spitfire (All Variants):

- Spitfires in late-war operations, used external fuel tanks to maintain their endurance during long sorties.

. A6M5 Zero:

- The A6M5, a key Japanese fighter in the Pacific Theater, frequently used external fuel tanks to extend its range over the vast distances of the Pacific.

. F4U Corsair (All Variants):

- The F4U Corsair, a dominant fighter in the Pacific, regularly carried external fuel tanks to reach distant targets and sustain long patrols.

Adding external fuel tanks to these aircraft would enhance both the historical accuracy and gameplay experience in War Thunder. It would allow for longer missions, greater tactical flexibility, and more authentic engagements in both PvE and PvP scenarios. This feature would also provide players with more strategic choices regarding fuel management and mission planning.

I hope the development team will consider implementing this feature in the upcoming update.

Sry for the swastika in the bf-109 picture

They are probably going to get the fuel tanks. Gaijin is just really slow with rolling them out. Look how long it took the F-14 to get tanks.

Cause in the research and modeling of a new aircraft, modeling the fuel tanks with it makes sense.
Re-modeling existing aircraft takes a chunk of time as well.

Starfighters should be the first priority, they eat fuel too fast)

It’s F-86K in the photo lol

They need to focus on giving the fuel hungry aircraft their drop tanks first before focusing on the non afterburning jets or props.

These are actually P-51Ds. To my knowledge basically every P-51 from B up could get fuel tanks

you forgot the f6f which has dop tanks in official artwork for war thunder
