Idea for aircraft armanent

That has always been the asusmption, but the servers dont crash from multiple F-111s unloading rockets pods, so I cant imagine it would be that much worse

BL755 contain 147 bomblets. Something liek the Tornado can carry up to 12. So thats 1764 bomblets. Which is basically the same as 4x F-111s unloading rocket pods

Imho you are way too smart to make such claims.

  • UK bombers were more or less exclusively used against civilians - simply because the technology for hitting (much smaller) military targets was not available. The US pretended to have more accuracy whilst their recon flights proved the opposite.

  • So allied bomber crews were sent into certain death 1943/44 (without having the tools to hit anything important) with the goal to disrupt the German war economy by killing their workers. Not complicated.

  • France: Do some research about French civilian casualties and find out that more French people died due to allied bombing than UK civilians by the Germans (including V-weapons).

  • If you look for data regarding allied total payloads dropped you see that most of it was dropped after Germany and Japan were more or less defenseless.

But as written earlier - this was assessed by the victors (and historians) as “ok” so any discussions about this topic is pointless as nobody wants to promote alternative views on certain narratives.

Back to topic:

Imho gaijin could at least do a test run regarding cluster ammo at prop BRs. The USSR dropped millions of PTABs (without noticeable effects vs armor, but devastating vs soft targets) and the LW used SD 4 (HL) carried in AB 250 / AB 500 against tanks with at least some effect.

Thats true during the IRAN f-14 event lots of rockets everywhere and no issues

Yep, though… 1x Tornado with 12x BL775 does equal 4-4.5 F-111s firing at the exact same time.

So whether the servers could survive 16-32x Tornados with 12x BL755s is another question entirely (and Im geussing F-111s could carry more CBUs than that)

But id love a dev-server test if nothing else :D

yea there would be a lot of server load the first few weeks but it would stabilize after the new shiny thing wore off.

Yeah, and it would be rare for coordinated drops

My point is that it may be an intresting and more realistic addition
Im just happy it did not get taken down within the first 30 seconds
