When you J out but have been damaged, it gives the kill to the enemy who damaged you.

When you J out while near an enemy it gives the kill to the enemy in proximity.

It’s definitely a new bug. My friend had it happen 3 times when he was in a fireball falling to the ground.

This is not a bug, it’s a designed feature.

Right…finally.

Yeah Vam …full agreement. I think.

I chose a plane in a game having already bagged 8 ,used the bomb load got another kill, then decided ditching the bomber would get me a higher score than flying all the way back to base and watch me slowly lose top spot I abandon the plane.

So I bail with zero hits on me and some guy gets a free kill for no reason.
Seems new and silly.

Being given crew lock when you’re full dead is not a feature. It’s a bug.

It’s been like this. I’ve complained in the past.

Unless you’ve been damaged enough for “severe damage” to trigger you do not count as fully damaged.

I’d say having your airframe mutilated while on fire and crashing from an enemy missile or gun is “Severe Damage”.

The day before yesterday I shot the wing off of an enemy Su-25 and set him on fire and when he bailed out, the game said that he had crashed…

If somebody hit you a few times and you bail ,I can understand them claiming the kill.If nobody ever touched you then you should be able to leave and no enemy make a claim.
