The layout might be a bit different and steam now autologins but the process should still be the same as far as i know.
That infographic does not help
- the steam log in button is gone.
- you follow the web log in and get into your account via steam, it does nothing.
- when you click on your profile in game, the “bind email” button does not exist.

If you have a new account and have already reinstalled your game client, you will be automatically logged in to the account that is linked to the corresponding Steam account. There are no other login options on the Steam client at present

When you start the game normally through steam does it automatically log you in?
When you do the web login, are you doing it in a browser or in the steam overlay? (steam overlay should be the one that works)
When you are logged into the website using the steam overlay, do you have an option to link/add/bind and email on the “Security settings” page?
If above does not work I’ll ask for more information from the team (and i do agree that the support faq is in need of an update).

answers to questions:
- yes it automatically logs in when i open via steam
- I use whichever page comes up when you hit web login, it prompts you to use qrcode steam app login
- all of those options are greyed out, and do not allow any clicks to be made, the only change able to be made is the security questions.
*uninstalled via steam, installed game client via website, still same issue and process. able to play game, unable to perform any 2fa, and obviously not add/bind email
This i do not understand, how do you get to the option “web login” if the game automatically logs you in?
You shouldn’t even have that option if the game is started through steam (as in, through the client that is installed through steam).
It’s because I’m trying to do 2fa that i come to the web login issue, Yes Steam automatically logs me in… now that the game is uninstalled from the steam client I would be forced to do the web login every time as i do not have a bound email to said account, for which there is no remedy as per the outdated slides provided as those options are not available… All this so i can buy planes on the gaijin store lol
The game should be installed through steam not as a stand alone client started through steam.
Before re-installing the game through steam, try opening the steam overlay while in the hangar, open the steam browser (the compass icon at the bottom, near the middle) and pasting this link into the steam browser in the overlay: https://login.gaijin.net/en/account/link/linkEmail/steam

OKAY, its been figured out… this issue was instantaneously fixed as soon as i turned “STEAM OVERLAY” back on…
