Hunter AFV: Singaporean Hunter

Ouu- nice Singaporean vehicle.

Booo! Ripping a nation apart should never happen. That’s a fate so bad not even my mortal enemy should be subjected to it. Singapore should get a home, just like every other nation.

And there is no workaround; decals don’t suddenly make the vehicle the same as a different vehicle, much less when the vehicle it’s trying to be is in-game under the same operator nation but in a different tree.

japan needs this wayyy more but alright

First of all, what I said was that you can pretend the vehicles are OPERATED by your nation, even if that vehicle isn’t operated by that nation IRL

Second, in most cases you have to take vehicles that don’t belong to your nation to create a proper line-up either way

Lastly, if a specific vehicle isn’t in the game, you’ll have to make do with the next best thing. That applies to all nations, no matter if it’s a subtree, a split nation, a nation with only a single vehicle in-game or one that has no vehicle to represent them

No matter how Gaijin decides to add a nation, there is no guarantee that specific vehicles will be added, so take what you can get

So, what can you do?
Use the vehicles you have and pretend your crew is from your nation and customize the vehicles to reflect that, especially If you want to represent your nation

Be happy about the fact that your nation gets to have their vehicles in the game at all

The majority of players doesn’t care if a nation gets split up or not, splitting doesn’t hurt the playerbase either. If anything splitting helps certain nations by giving them access to vehicles that they otherwise couldn’t get.

Black Knight has Israeli APS. Should we give it to Israel (please do).

Bushmaster. Gameplay. Okay.

So they adding the same vechile as Eithan/Namer but without a single benefits like turetless Namer 30 or APS from Eithan or Trickson… on the same BR.

Oh yeah, that boiled my blood

That would work if all players could access WT.Live instead of only PC players.

Otherwise, they gotta pray a scheme gets added to a box, pay and pray they get it or let their vehicle look shoddy.

If this ends up like the 11.0 Puma, it will be dead on arrival.

What gap is this filling, though? Israel already has 3 indigenous 30mm Spike vehicles at this bracket.

It will also just so happen to be one of the strongest 10.7 ifvs among the crappy spike slingers

Again it’s a comp problem or gaijin over BRing spike vehicles

Strongest 10.7 IFV in a lineup that doesn’t exist right now.

As it is - other than the original plan getting push back, I don’t understand why Singapore, or any other nation, is being broken up in to multiple trees, outside of cases where in the early days something got added before it was fully added as it’s own tree, or as a sub tree in another nation. I know the reply from Stona on the main page that links off the launcher to a similar statement was:

It will make the option too boost smaller nation with interesting vehicles almost impossible

This makes no sense. Now I can understand it if it’s meant in the literal sense of what we used to have in UK ground with South Africa, or what certain air lines have where the line is literally just one nations vehicles - but since that has more or less been abandoned, which I’m fine with to try and fill gaps in some lines that have some huge ones - there is no reason I can see you can’t keep one sub-nation together within a singular nations category so people who want to play that specific nation don’t have to play 5 of them to do so. And where it would be nearly impossible to ‘boost smaller nations with interesting vehicles’ just because your keeping a nations stuff intact under one banner. Unless your doing what you did with the UK tree with Indian and Australian vehicles where all the interesting unique stuff are basically relegated to premiums and event vehicles but copy/paste from the US makes it in to the tree proper. As it stands - you have 10 tech trees, I know it’s going to 11 as you’ve said your adding a combined North/South Korea tree, that as is currently have vehicles representing about 50 countries (not counting ones that changed flags or the like). Of those - maybe 20 countries are not currently one offs or maybe a couple premium vehicles in one or two trees. Quick google search - of more than 190 countries on the planet, 170 of them have active militaries, no idea how many have vehicles that can fit the game though. And as is you have 6 trees with massive gaps or even short having 5th lines, and even though US, England, Germany, and Russia are more complete, even they have some gaps in them. So - if we have what will be 11 trees, representing in full 20 or so countries with representation from about another 30 give or take - and very much not all those 30 have to offer in cases, for a total of 50 out of a possible 170 or less, you can not seriously sit there and tell me, that to fill in 11 lines without breaking up a countries stuff, for the currently 6 likely 7th nations that will likely need a heavier influx of multiple nations to fill out trees as full as the other 4 - that the 30 or so already underrepresented nations, and possibly up to 120 others is not enough to have interesting vehicles to boost all of them. Math isn’t mathing on that one.

Also -

I could make sense of this if the Singapore was becoming a subtree like Greece is supposed to be (if I remember correctly from that article a while back) to add a 5th line or fill in some gaps with something different, since I’m going to trust others are right about what other vehicles Singapore has like Leopards cause I know nothing and I’m not googling it right now and I’m sure somewhere in the recesses of the forum someone has suggested anything they had or built a whole tree. However - I’ll also add to the choir on the fact Israel as much as it could use more vehicles, especially on the air side, already has 3 light tanks that have 30 mm’s and spikes, two at Rank 7, one at 8, 2 tracked one wheeled, 2 with APS - for whatever good it does never seems to work in Arcade, and in Arcade battles are all at 11.3 BR. There are 5 nations that lack a vehicle with an auto-cannon and fire and forget missile launcher in the tech tree. China - which as I recall was the original plan but turned in to a problem, Japan (not sure if there are other issues with that one being added in), England (CRV doesn’t count because Event Vehicle), US, and Russia - granted it has the BMPT’s that already eviscerate almost everything. By that criteria - any of those 5 as is is a better fit, and of those 5 Japan and Israel both are in the most need of filling out - especially depending what BR you plan to put this at - but Japan has 3 sets of light tanks, that end at 9.3 and 9.7 before 2 go on to 12.0+ with MBT’s and one just ends, Israel has the one line ending with 3 of these kinda things. By your own logic, it sounds more like it should go to if anything Japan.

Terrible, It seems Japan really cannot have an IFV with fire-and-forget capability.

Controversial decision, add it to every nation to stop it.

By the way,i should really compliment you Gaijin for making the least awaited update in all of War Thunder history even before dropping the teaser trailer.

The best received devblogs currently are the italian MAS boat and the Welkin Mk.1 which both of them are respectively interwar and WWII vehicles. All of the rest is either DOA or implemented so badly it’s actually comical: the Jean Bart being a 80$ premium while refusing to address the blatant Soyuz meta, the PGZ88 being DOA,the Puma U14 being literally the worst premium ever conceived in an era where you refuse to address the BMPT problem (and that also costs 70$)and now this vehicle that should be perfect into Japan but no, let’s give Israel another copy-paste vehicle.

Only one mechanic announced and it will be extremely situational.

The community update was the bleakest you ever announced

And this is the second week in a row where there will not be a teaser trailer nor a devblog. If this is the situation you’re in, it’s better for y’all to postpone the update until you resolve anything you have internally, because by the looks of it this update is not starting on a good note.

As a Singaporean, please do not split us up over multiple trees. Being able to play your own nations vehicles together is where the fun is in the game.

Singapore may have fit better in another nation as a full sub tree, but now you are going to commit to Israel Gaijin, please do not split us up.

Most players do not have the kind of time or money to grind multiple trees just to get one vehicle from their country to play by itself.

100% agreed, getting split up in multiple TT to cover “gaps” (not like that most counties have already subtrees that can cover this gaps) is unacceptable so i hope Singapore remains in 1 TT even if it hurts Greece/Cyprus

Yet another case of “Gaijin please, Mauswaffe’s suggestion is RIGHT THERE

wow a tech tree so cool looks behind it seeing 7 premiums

Community: Triggered 😵😵

they could have added the Pereh or the Hafiz and call it a day, something domestic and different from the bushmaster+spike combo, which we have been receiving for the last updates
