Same issue on my side. Have you found any solution to fix this problem?
Unfortunately, the developers don’t seem too concerned about it…
I’m glad im not alone who have this disturbing problem. I always play at 1080p Maximum-Movie graphic option, run smoothly around 75-100fps with Vsync on (200fps+ when vsync off) before Spearhead update release last month. It starts stutter and fps drop after 2-3 match idk what causing this problem.
My Rig was I5 12600K, B660 Motherboard, 32gb 3200mhz, RTX 3060 12GB, already run DDU and reinstall latest driver, Downgrade from Win 11 to Win 10 but the problem still exist.
I think i fixed it.
1.Go to NVIDIA Control Panel
2.Manage 3D Settings
3.Program Settings
4.Select War Thunder (aces.exe)
5.Scroll down and enable v sync
And this should fix the issue because it fixed mine a now i don’t have any stuttering.
But disable v sync in game! Or it won’t work properly.
EDIT: Stutter are still there but it’s not that terrible as it was before.

Fps drops happened long before this major update, now it’s even worse. I have mid PC which should run war thunder without problems, especially at medium-low settings.
Before this update drops happened only on remastered maps or when there were a lot of dead tanks around.
Now they happen on every map, especially city maps. There is no way to fix it as I tried literally everything. Other games run with 0 (yes 0) problems. Gaijin is the only one who can fix it.
So until today I couldn’t even reply to messages because I have been ‘inactive’… yeah I mean I can’t even launch the game without stuttering.
So I updated my BIOS and my Chipsets as both had new versions. The BIOS I doubt would be a contributing factor as there was no AGESA PI update in this version, and that’s the only thing I’ve ever had issue with. Jayztwocents has a good video on some recent issues with AGESA PI BIOS updates causing issues for some games. I won’t go into the details here, but still.
The “maybe” thing could be updated chipset drivers, which is funny because those just released on the 10th of the month, and previous to that I think was May or so. But after having so many issues and it being unplayable I stopped playing the game. I’ve just been on Arc Raiders, or other stuff lately.
So I launched the game… and yeah immediately stuttering in the lobby. I then tried the nVidia Control Panel solution and enabled Vsync there, but that didn’t work either.
I then checked and there was a GPU driver update. That coupled with the rest got me to where I was before. Now I was able to play for like an hour give or take before the random stuttering began. So the closest thing I can think of is someone else mentioning they would essentially have to reinstall their GPU driver to get it to work. Insanity. And even still it’s not like it’s a fix as it persists after a small time of playing.
Edit Forgot to mention I also deleted and reinstalled the game for a 3rd time and was experiencing these issues as a fresh install and I went in the above order for trouble shooting with that fresh install.
feeling same I was having intermitent fps drops usually when my pc hasn’t been restarted for a long time (in no other game mind you) Just war thunder would be sensitive to it. This was before, now this patch is worse yet by far!
Now doesn’t matter if its a fresh restart or not after about 1 game I get hitching and stuttering.
7950x3d with 64gb memory, 5090, 3840x1600, war thunder on SN850x.
Full system watercooling, shut down, disable hardware accel on everything.
Update Nvidia drivers, clear cache, nothing seems to help.
Going to full screen mode and back will fix it temporarily, and its back within 10 minutes or so
I’ve been having insane stuttering since I started playing again with nothing having changed hardware wise.
Does it on all settings from ULQ to movie
Does it with my PBO overclock on or off
Does it on three different Nvidia driver versions
And I don’t have any issues with any other games
Looking at the forums and steam discussions it seems Gaijin broke something a couple months back for a lot of people and haven’t fixed it.
I tried Enlisted today and it also stutters a bit now too but not nearly as unplayable-ey as War Thunder
So I just disabled Hwinfo and now my issue is resolved. I really thing there is some sort of conflict.
This seems to have been the issue
Tyvm
wow my sutters just stopped soon as I disabled it, that really sucks I use sensors from there.
I thought I tested just about everything but yea its 100% hwinfo.
I didn’t update hwinfo for ages, so this is on something to do with How War thunder is conflicting with it
Yeah, its 100% on Warthunder here. I’ve never had something like this conflict with HWinfo before. This happened with the fall content update, so one of the changes there is the cause.
I never had it turned on, I uninstalled it, and it helped. I still have some small stutters sometimes, though.
Mine have severely diminished by swapping to the New NVIDIA app. I don’t know how that helped… But Im getting them far less often now.
So after a suggestion on Hwinfo forums, that its related to Nvidia drivers (I believe this is the case as I was having bad stuttering last patch too before updating a driver but it goes back and forth, and its been an issue I’ve had even on AMD drivers just never this bad)
I disabled monitoring on all sensors for the GPU in Hwinfo, and this worked.
I’m now working through and enabling sensors one at a time to try and see which one is culprit.
But its related to Nvidia Drivers, Performance Monitoring on GPU, and War thunder.
So it might extend past hwinfo in general depending on what the issue is.
Can follow some of the dicussion on hwinfo here, (not much yet beyond what was said here)
https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/threads/new-hwinfo-conflict-with-war-thunder-causes-stuttering-hitching-after-a-shortwhile.10952/
Tested a bit, and its more difficult than I anticipated since sometimes the sensor may need to be reading for awhile to cause a visible issue.
GPU power sensor for sure is related, GPU memory Junction Temp, and a few others.
I have the same for randoms reason it drop to 80 then only way to get it back up is to restart the game
I have possible solution. On my Alienware m18 (rtx4080) the game started to stutter about a month ago. I was on dgpu only setting. I’ve tried many attempts to solve it (drivers, bloatware, cache, etc). Finally i tried it on a fresh system and still nothing. Then i changed the mux setting. Bingo. Somehow that game can’t handle the dgpu only setting.
So you might try to set your graphics to hybrid/optimus mode and see if that help.
