It is a buff since it can now engage helicopters and certain aircraft much easier than before. If anything it’ll become more effective.
Just because you won’t use it, doesn’t mean its a bad addition
I personally think it will make HSTV-L a more versatile vehicle, having rapid reload HE-VT shell will make quick work of the helicopters at closer range

2S38 is inferior, and HSTVL didn’t change its overall lethality.
Keep hating on HSTVL to prove everyone here correct.
Keep downplaying the 2S38 so its stays at its BR thats what a russian would do

But it did. It is now much more lethal against any aircraft or helicopter that is near the battle.
I doubt that it will go up in BR, but it is clearly a better tank than it was.

lol 2S38 has half the acceleration, is a tad larger, 50mm worse penning round; and for those that care the 2S38 spalls armor half as well.
Me: 2S38 should go to 10.3.

My posts criticizing Russian equipment and being indifferent about HSTVL’s HE-VT were getting false-flagged, only Russians or 2S38 fans would do that.
Us HSTVL fans being silenced is a bad thing, and having a post that defends people attempting to silence us is not a good look.
Notice how none of the people that flagged posts here are posting themselves. They’re hiding cause they know their takes are bad.

They aer saying that the 2S38 is currently undertiered, and that you want it to stay lower (by saying that it isn’t as good as people say) because you are a Russian main.

It may be worse (big emphasis on may since HSTV-L is a cancelled project) IRL, but in game? 2S38 (especially at 10.0 and in downtiers) shreds anything with APFSDS. Hell, a well placed shot would very likely disable even a Leopard 2A4 or Abrams
But you will consider this as defending the 2S38 even though I don’t really care that anymore since I posted twice in “Upcoming BR changes” topic and it fell on deaf ears…
HSTV-L will greatly benefit from the HE-VT shell, making it even more menacing since it can now destroy air targets

You’re clearly thinking of someone else cause I’ve literally stated that take alongside Strf 9040C, cause in cross-analysis of those tanks and the tanks they face, that conclusion is attained.
I posted a number of times to move 2S38 to 10.3. As it’s half accelerating as HSTVL with a 50mm worse penning round while half the mass [half the armor spalling for those that care].
Whenever Abrams gets its 50mm turret ring fixed, I’ll consider Strf 9040C back to 10.0 as it would no longer pen that.
Also I don’t hate it, never did. I’m indifferent cause it won’t impact its BR whether its there or not, nor its primary purpose as a light tank.

No, I didn’t. Someone protected 2S38 from my criticism that it’s not anywhere close to HSTVL [an 11.3 light tank, meaning 2S38 is not 11.0 capable, with the option of not close to 11.0 in capability].
No where did I say anything other than that.
