i do C-5 shot mostly for long range, close range i just lob 2 7Ms

If you ever get downtiered to 13.0 you can try going orbital and shooting sidewinders at unaware targets
Problem with being low is your fox 3 launches are easily defeated via multipath. Watch that video I posted and maybe a few times and really try to employ that while climbing, just try to survive until you get the hang of it.
Took me quite a few games dying a ton until I felt comfortable survivong up there but it is worth it.

I know it doesn’t really work with AIM-7 but if it works with AMRAAM that would be nice
You can add loft by nosing up at lower alts and that helps but you really need the top down aspect for it to reliably hit MPers since the reflection is pathing the missile basically to where the plane is instead of infront of it.
You dont want to be on the deck until the match is at a point where targets are going to be below you as getting spiked from directly below with a fox3 is hard to defend (fox 3 uses different search method for this that harder to beat than top down), and mid game you are more likely to get launched on from multiple angles which is a death sentence up high.
But early game being up high is def better than low and since all the missiles launched on you are usually from the same area dealing with multiple isnt too bad since they are all going to be in similar notch angles. When you have multiple fox 3 launches on you from different angles you are gonna have to MP for a chance to survive if the window between them is too low to get into the notch again for the 2nd/3rd etc.
Good manual radar work up high and good situational awareness helps a lot in terms of not ending up in a posisition where you let guys get below you without you knowing and forcing them to defend, or end up in these bad situations where you are within 20km or so of multiple people.
Why can’t they just add AN/AAS-42 and AIM-120D with 2 way DL to get around all this multipathing stuff smh
no they just need to fix numerous issue with 120s rn adding 120D when the issues with 120s still persist wont do much

Really? The F-4E manueverability feels way overheated to me it honestly is not bad you just have to avoid getting slow because then you start bleeding a lot of speed
i always go above 1000 on F-4E, honestly in turn fight and strike from below/side its pretty good, the thing is the roll capability where u try to multipath since chaff is a little bit iffy and mostly u either get 4 or get chase by 5 people with R-60s/9J equivalent and run out of flare mid runaway
playing 4E i always get atleast 3 or none
if u want the ‘meta’ way to play the F15E:
- Bring only 17 minutes of fuel and 8 aim120 (this will make you light weight, letting you accelerate and climb fast)
- Climb to ~10km at optimal angle/speed
- Quickly throw all 8 aim120 at 8 different enemy jets, I recommend you launch at targets at 45km and under for higher chance to hit
- Turn around and land to re-arm, missiles won’t catch you if you do it right
F15E is very fast in a straight line thanks to its powerful engine, so using that to give your missile energy is very effective. But it’s a bit sluggish and will not win in dog fight against most jets.

lmao go bomb base or something idk. ur stock armament isnt horrific, you get 2 aim9m and 2 aim120 i think, enough to get a kill or two. since you dont have engine upgrade or 8 aim120 then i suggest you just fly low and stick with your team
Yeah that’s why I bias my CM loads to have all large flares and 50/50 flares and chaff for the standard cm’s for the F-4E

Best loadout in my opinion is 20 gbu39 + AGM65D. You can easily overwhelm radar screen by throwing the gbu39 at enemy AA and usually will kill the new 12.0 SPAA because they won’t get out of the way or shoot all your gbu39 in time. AGM65D is for tanks and moving targets. You can also bring 2 aim9m for a little anti-air if u want.
aim120a/b is better at close range and turns harder right off the rail. aim120c5 is better at longer range because it can keep its speed better or something i forgot, i just know its better for long range.
Turn 90 degree and chaff, basic notching stuff. Multipath is also easy to do by flying close to the ground but this won’t work if missile come in at an extremely high angle, it will ignore multipath and hit you.
