How much money would 1000 GE represent actually
Look it up in the game, click on GE and see what they want for it.
That’s less than I thought
But I still won’t buy anything for now
25,000 GE costs US$114, or $0.0456 each.
So 1000 GE = $4.56
If you buy less than 25k GE then you get hit with the poor tax and they cost more, as noted above.
Poor tax is real 😔
Another way of getting SL is the “Anti-mech” order in air battles - for 10k SL “stake” you stand to get 500k SL by killing the most ground units in an air game.
And you get 5 lives to do it up to 10 times for that 500k SL reward.
I get to the max about 1/3 the time in AAB, but you get a minimum of 50k SL just by achieving that once - and then another 50k for each additional time so it’s pretty easy to get 150-200-250k
In combination with:
…is an indicator that you progressed too fast.
But this is fully intended by gaijin as their goal is that you spend money to progress, and not time. In theory the experience you gained whilst playing the game should be in sync with your research progress, but gaijin allows way too fast progress at lower ranks to keep you attached.
Most more experienced players have an RP problem and not an SL problem as Air RB is no rocket science.
Switching from AB to RB has usually the additional downside that a lot of these players have not accumulated their XP in a single slot - so they have multiple slots and none of them is maxed out to level 75, which is depending on your enemy in an isolated 1 vs 1 a clear disadvantage.
In order to progress in Air RB you have to options:
- Perform more or less useless tasks like base bombing in infinite loops
- Work at your PvP skills in order to earn SL/RP with player kills
So your question “how to gain SL efficiently” depends on your preferred way to play the game. Whilst base bombing (with a premium plane or just premium time) looks easier and faster, the option #2 requires more time but allows you to progress in a much “healthier” way.
Most of the recommendations here work with the assumption that you have the capabilities to fulfill the requirements of various orders or wagers.
What you really need is a “go-to” aircraft which fits to your playstyle, has decent SL/RP modifiers and grants you a sustained and more or less guaranteed income every time you play it - just because you are able to make it work and kill way more enemies than you get killed.
My reccomendation would be:
Play rank II and III to farm the free battle pass premium planes. That should be possible. Use arcade and realistic as it seems fit. You will find them in the warbond store in every pass. Also collect the free premium pass vehicle.
If you have wagers Unstoppable or Thunderer, use those to farm thunderer/antimech awards in arcade. Don’t use orders simultanously, as they tend to create unwanted competition. Orders work well with boosters, as the reward from orders is boosed too.
Just be aware, wagers are a chore. If you are tired of one, don’t use rank 3 or higher in your lineup, that will pause the wager.
you cannot grind battle pass with rank II. You can only do the easy daily task
Yeah it’s not as bad as it could be. But as me and others have pointed out if you are going to spend money on the game do it on sale in november. Premium time or premium vehicle are the best investments
Yes, I realized quickly that I was progressing too fast. But the bigger problem is, I played arcade for quite too long so I didn’t really learn realistic until I got to rank 5. I tried playing realistic at propeller tiers, but I just can’t do shit there and it seems much harder to me…
I’m maining the Ouragan which I enjoy and I am already getting better with it, though it might take time before I catch back to what I should’ve learnt before
The main problem of my grind isn’t even silver lions themselves to be honest, it’s the fact that I get research points at a much faster rate so I get all planes unlocked way before I have enough to buy them
just as gaijin intended
can’t relate because I only play france and have all the planes so my last 500k RP just went into thin air
Oh really? What’s the reason for that?
is it not obvious? So you get frustrated and buy GE to convert to SL or buy premium time or vehicles.
Also be happy since Air RP an SL gain is still way better than ground.
Oh right I forgot that metric, money. I’m sorry for ground players if on top of all they have to go through they also have worse rewards
It’s even worse.
IME just buying a plane is not enough. You want to expert the crew if you plan to use it.
It makes a massive difference in a one-on-one fight even at props if you’re flying a plane that excels at high-energy dogfights (most american planes. Flying a mustang or corsair with/without is night and day). At jets, it’s basically a requirement otherwise you pass out doing a simple split S or a low yo-yo. Maxed crew can help offset the need for expert, but every little bit of additional G tolerance and Stamina makes a difference.
A 5/5 expert crew can and will sit on ~6.0Gs without a G-suit forever without blacking out. A 2/2 crew with no expert passes out from 20 seconds at 5.5Gs.
On flipside, crewing+experting is super expensive so ONLY crew planes you actually care about flying. Buy whatever you need to unlock trees and tiers but don’t crew them. As such, i disagree with Piano’s advice to just “move stuff to other crew slots for autorepair.” For autorepair to pay back all the SL you wasted crewing that plane, you’d need to wait for some enormous amount of time above Rank 3.
Exactly. I have an ace lvl75 crew for my mirage IIIC and since I bought new slots I needed to train the crews and the mirage seemed the best way to do it.
The difference between 0lvl and aced is enormous. 0lvl can barely pull any maneouvers while the aced can run circles around other planes before blacking out
So for planes just use one slot that you put all your new vehicles into
I don’t know very well how crew experience works, I never did more than apply the points to my crews… when you talk about experting a crew, do you mean there are tiers to this? Because my best crew is like level 28 and has some stats almost maxed out
Or is it just the inflation and the little I have left to max it out is what will bring it to level 75?
