How am I supposed to fly the Harrier GR.3? It’s too much of a bus to dogfight and too slow to bomb. The only kills I manage to get is when the enemy is not paying even the slightest bit of attention to their surroundings. So far it seems the best way to enjoy this plane is not to fly it at all.
i like playing it in sim, you dont face many supersonics and the 9gs work great + you get a hud

Use the thrust vectoring for dogfights to force overshoots on faster planes and just climb away and stall out slower ones, also climb to the side for a bit at the start to let the game develop and then flank preoccupied people or bomb a base, use your missiles at planes that don’t have flares to guaranteed kills, and don’t be aggressive, you are a bottom feeder so you need to be be patient and pick easy targets.
Yeah its not very enjoyable to fly but nothing around this BR in the uk tree is imo.

i usually VIFF and force overshoots and launch AIM-9’s at flareless planes

It used to be very good with small map sizes since you could outclimb most everything and throw your two missiles from high alt downwards.
Imagine this is gone now given the map size increase allowing other planes to reach the same alt before contact.
