It’s only ok in air rb, but in sim when the bracket is 12.0-13.0 it’s amazing and it’s 12.0 in ground so you don’t have to uptier your ground lineup but you can still bring an excellent cap plane.
I dont understand why the gripen c is 12.7. Straight up carries the same stuff.
Gripen C gets the GBU 39/B (GPS glide bomb that massively increases the potential range of the jet) and the AGM 65G (IR instead of TV guided, keeps lock way better and can lock moving targets from further away) which bumps it up in BR for ground, It also get the option of RB 99 (AIM-120B) which means a way more effective plane hunter at those lower BR’s.
Oh I forgot It carried aim120. But I dont think you should be wasting what little pylons you have on a2a when you can have wingtip aim9m
Depends on how the enemy team is looking when you spawn in, if they have many CAS in the air it might be worth taking full AIM120, launching all of them ASAP and turn back to land and re-arm with the option of changing loadout to CAS weapons if you (or your team) got a few enemy planes down during that time. But in most cases it’s better to go for the other option.

11 deaths one kills. I think the missiles are bugged. Rb71s go off the rail and never course correct. They should go forward until booster runs out and then crash.
Oh, yeah, basically all air to air missiles are currently broken. Guidance fails randomly and proxy fuse doesn’t trigger when it should etc.
Glad I am getting more into ground then. Normally prems are really expensive where I live but I decided to treat myself to a somua sm and am loving it. Thats how I gathered the sl to buy the gripen. Shame I cant buy the mirage f1c tho. This is also my first time with prem time and the difference It makes is shocking. I got to gripen in 6 years on and off gaming. I am speeding through the france line without any prem planes.
Also the flightmodel itself also is disappointing on the gripen. I know its been nerfed a lot but its decieveingly sluggish for its looks.
It’s sluggish when fast, as soon as you get under 800 km/h it turns quite well down to below 500km/h (and again, as with any vehicle, the modifications do quite a lot :P ). What it does though is lose speed fast, so from 800 to 500 km/h you have maybe two good turns, after that you should look for an exit out of the dogfight to gain speed again.

I can definetly say that the summer sale is working in my favor. Its just 12.0 matches with f4s and f1c players.
