How Does Everyone Feel About The Improved Yak-9k?

It absolutely should

No, it really shouldn’t.

That’s one of the dumbest suggestions to be put foward so far lmao

No, the idea that a stronger vehicle should cost less is what’s stupid.

That’s both dumb and not true lmao

You mean the Yak-9K using ammo we have no documentation of it ever using and maintaining a flight performance that is entirely unrealistic?

Just good ole’ Russian Bias, as usual.

Judging by the fact I’m like 7 to 1 in recent Fw 190 F8 vs Yak-9K encounters, I expect Yak to go down in BR. Ok, just joking, but people crash in this plane all.the time and are insanely target-fixated. Basically I BnZ them with goddamn 700kg of bombs attached and it somehow still works. Probably scored a kill even with 1200kg of bombs on board.
I’m not saying 9k is not insanely effective. It is. But the quality of an average user is horrible. Still most of my deaths by plane in a tank are of course by Yak-9K.

Yak-9K go to 5.0

It’s Gaijin being Gaijin. If it was British or US, they’d get one of their interns to run a script, nerf it and then have it uptiered.

Ain’t that the truth…

Funny thing, they added APHE with 54mm of pen in the last dev server for the MK 101/103s then nerfed them to SAPHE with 34mm of pen before release. They knew it would’ve been nasty, now if only they’d give the NS-45 the same treatment.

Pure unadulterated cancer

The best part:

Now that it’s classified SAPHEI, it has very similar stats to what is shown in German documents.
However the same documents also show that the VYa-23 API has less penetration than the German 30mm APHE rounds, yet in WT the 23mm API has much more penetration.

And one response from the Devs was:
The part in front of AP body is filled with incendiary filler, like on SAPI shells.
Yet it’s not. It’s a solid cap made from light alloys that is supposed to protect the penetrator and give some added incendiary effect when striking armor.

Meanwhile the 23mm API has the entire front below the ballistic cap filled with incendiary filler but isn’t called SAPI.
Additionally, the shell uses a subcaliber steel penetrator.

So it should act like APCR but with worse penetration.

And in WT APCR barely has any more penetration than AP to begin with.

Maybe rereport with the 23mm comparisson, or did you already try?

Nope. Don’t think it will lead to anything.

Yeah…

But it just aint right…

Incredible.

Utterly unsurprising.
