If you want to play purely competitive stuff, go do squadron battles or tournaments. I am very much someone who likes winning matches in Ground RB but even I know it isn’t a sport, it’s a game. There’s room for the weird and the wonky and the memes. Not everything needs to be meta. Especially at low tier!

And the gap should be filled. Eventually it will be. In the meantime, taking the Puma up works well for scouting and can also get you BP tasks done if you use the good ol’ spawn/notspawn trick with a rank III vehicle.

Puma is a option but not solution imagine remove ALL Hellcats, M56, Ontons and the other light and movile tanks and only leave the M24 and said “well guys dont worry because the M24 can do well even in 6.7” cmon!!!

Thats dont change the fact his addition will be irrelevant. Bad movility, bad armor, bad gun depression, just a free kill for planes like Dicker, Emil , Waffentager or Nashorn. Just another useless TD for Germany in one or two weeks nobody play.
You don’t “need to go”. I’m saying that if you want to satisfy a hyper-competitive fix, you should do so in competitive modes. This is specifically in response to your comment that the Hummel shouldn’t be added because it’s “useless” as if competitiveness is the only thing that matters in GRB. It is not. There is room for non-meta vehicles in GRB, because it’s not a ranked mode.
As for abusing low tier players, my most played BR these days is 6.7. Technically it’s 7.0 because I’m uptiering my German 6.7s to play with a friend who has the Flakpanzer etc. You can call that abusing low tier if you want, I guess. It’s rare that I go really low tier unless I’m spading vehicles I haven’t touched before, and the Hummel will be the same, I’ll spade it out and move on. I enjoy WW2 and have no real interest for more modern vehicles, so of course this is the area of the game that I play.

Again. Im not against his addition and very happy everytime Gaijin give us WW2 vehicles. But right now Germany in rank 2 have a bunch of open SPG and very important lack of vehicles in other ranks and i think is more important first balance and later add for fun.

This vehicle did not come “instead” of any of those. Again this was the single most requested German WW2 vehicle in recent times, exceeding any of those.
Again, we do not add vehicles that are only the best in meta class.
Your words are not being changed. Many WW2 vehicle’s that have not been added are not and wont be “meta” by your definition. So you automatically rule out a lot of them by making such rules that dont exist for additions to the game.
If we really went by “importance” in terms of urgency; none of the Big Three would see a new vehicle for perhaps an entire year’s worth of updates. Minor nations still struggle, to this day, to make full lineups at many BRs. They have horrific SPAA gaps, or lack heavy tanks or anything with actual armour, or rely on munitions inferior to APHE, or need premiums/BP vehicles for some lineups to be functional at all.
I already knew this was the case, but ever since I’ve started spading other trees in WT it’s become painfully clear just how cushy a position Germany is in.
Of course even Germany has gaps. We’re talking about a Rank III scout and the 7.0 - 7.3 gap, but to name another imho significant omission, Germany has no medium tank option between the Panthers and the (ugh) Patton, then Leo1. You can count the premium M47 I suppose but it doesn’t have a lineup, really.
Still. If a vehicle existed, eventually it’ll come to the game. As the Hummel itself reiterates. So, in time.
The M44 is a cold war vehicle present in (IIRC) five different trees. That already makes it less interesting to me than the Hummel (I also doubt they’ll be at the same BR).

I won’t touch the Hummel until the FOTM passes, but that’s my rule with every new vehicle. I also didn’t touch the KV-8 until like a few days ago, because I wanted to wait for the spam to die down. Did the same with the Sturmtiger back in the day. It’s just common sense in WT tbh.
While I like that finally the Hummel is coming, its a awfull timing when Russia gets again a new MBT with APS and even USA gets a Abrams with APS, unless there is also something planned for Germany this is just a wierd timing it

These new tanks are making the Merkava completely irrelevant at 12.7. Its protection against HEAT, HE, and APFSDS is laughable now, especially after it’s been nerfed multiple times despite sitting under a 50% win rate for so long. It feels pretty bad when a vehicle that’s already struggling gets powercrept this hard.

Is not a personal preference is a overall balance situation. I cant imagine Gaijin adding something like SU-76 when the entire russian rank V, VI and VII are under 50% win ratio since years.

Ever figured out that the win rate of certain nations could be heavily attributed to the fact that a certain nation is being played more heavily than others, therefore is skewed by much worse players or players who have no idea how the game works, therefore further worsening the win rate, rather than a lack of good vehicles? Reminder that the Tiger IIs and Tiger Is are not horrible vehicles at all.
There will never be a direct replacement to said vehicles, you can’t just replace a fake vehicle with an equivalent unless there exist an actual equivalent. The M48s are what technically replaces the two removed tanks and the Kugelblitz is the next best in line if we exclude the Ostwind II.
