The slight advantage the F-15E has in acceleration can be nullified with Phoenixes, infact, it’ll make him a better target for them.
Besides having HMD, I don’t see how the F-15E would be much better than the F-14D. The F-14D will probably outperform the F-15E if they give it AMRAAMS.

I wish the F-15C late got the Strike Eagle HUD. Infact, I wish the F-14D got the Strike Eagle hud. Such a good hud…
Anyways, yeah, this would easily clear the F-14D in terms of sheer generational upgrades.
An honestly great radar (underrated even though it’s AESA), tons of CMs, and better missiles (hopefully they unnerf the C-5).
I wish the Tomcat got the opportunity to grow like the F-15 did though… Hopefully they can both get added next major. US needs better radars as of late with the Hornet’s being garbage (expected) and the APG-70 and 63 not being AESA.
Yes that’s true, but that only really helps with max range and jam resistance. They effectively have the same range. (161km for F-15 and 200km for F-14)
I really wish the F-15EX had the F-15E hud. The best hud. Very nice hud.
The AN/APG-63/70 should have minimum 100 NM range if not 160 NM (160 figure was in some technical order however i don’t remember if it was HPRF only)

AIM 54s technically can only be matched by late model Aim120s like D model
Aim 54 is mach 4.3-5 capable at high alts so it will get there faster
and it will not be able to manouver as much
it will also be easier to jam
ECCM model is more resistant to jamming than current Aim54C

I don’t believe so. The ST21 was supposed to have HUD similar to the F-35.
