Sorry to say but its not… getting the AIM-7P.
F-14D doesn’t get 120s or 7Ps …meanwhile Greek M2K-5MK2 carries ARMAT that isn’t even compatible with and A-7H Shrikes again not even compatible with.

They carry out the capability present in the other models of the same aircraft. F-14D doesnt, we’re talking about capability that never came in full performance even on testbed aircraft.
In my examples the capability was not present in the specific models. I’ve analyzed the reasons to the dev server topic about the inaccuracies of the Greek planes.
That’s why everyone is saying CnP. Those planes had their own things going, better or worse.
In comparison with F-14D , F-14D was compatible, they never upgraded the software.
In my examples they miss even the physical modules that allow those weapons.
It’s like saying F-14D and A were the same.
I wouldn’t mind if they’d keep a line in armaments, but one line that goes for all (at least in production planes, experimental and prototypes are another story…).
F-16 XL. It just has AIM-120 model. Not even a fireable version.

They added AIM-54C+ for the TT 14D in the last update …Yesterday was it?
Personally what i think would be the best idea for both parties, would be Adding the AMRAAMs to the premium F14D, given that the radar and possibility was there but not continued. (and ofcourse increase battle rating to 13.3/.7)
Looking at what both parties want in this forum. 1 F14 variant that can use AIM120s would make those who agree happy that there is AN F14 that can use it, and those who agree be partially happy (or neutral i dont really know tbh) that there is only 1 F14 that can sling AMRAAMs… Yall can continue about the F14D(R) tho.

F-14 D did carry AIM-7P2 but it fire like 7MH. Besides the datalink, 7P2 was just a more sensitive 7MH design to shoot down ASM.

Funny part that document doesn’t talk about the aim7p-1 or 7p-2 it only talks about the base version aim-7p so no where in that document states f14D/apg71 can’t dL with aim-7p-2

P1 is the same as M from the aircraft side. Would GJ add the missile-side difference of P1 is another topic.
I will reiterate the TT F-14D should not ever get AMRAAM. If we got the one-off F-14A, maybe.

That “F-14A” would need the APG-71, while the F-16XL has the APG-68.

So like since the tech tree is a F-14D(VF-11) and ig not a F-14D(R) could they still change it or will this thread just convert into trying to add another tech tree f14D(R)?
