Greece/Cypress Rafale CF3

I’m sorry but as a Greek, Greece going to Israel is incredibly weird. There is nothing connecting the nations except that they’re technically allies. No history between them (other than Apostole Paul coming to Greece I guess, but I think Israel doesn’t believe in that? Idk)
They didn’t even use different planes except Mirage 2k and Rafale (Spitfires, Hurricanes and American stuff Greece had, Israel also has access to).
So it’s just an excuse to give Israel a better Mirage line than the French (lol) and a Rafale.

France or even the UK would make much more sense.

Greece has some shared vehicles and technologies with Israel (like some m113 modernizations, the spike nlos car, and the cyprus-greece barak mx), but not enough for a subtree. Maybe get the singapure treatment.

For me chile should have taken that place. And maybe some indian planes like su30mki with israeli techonoly and weapons.

I won’t argue that. They said it in the community update that’s the only reason I’m asking.

From past statements I’ve seen, it’s not just about historical connections but where it is most needed.

I think they have more connection than you think. They may not share aircraft (exception the F-16 and future F-35 for Greece), but they they do a lot of training together through Air Force exercises. They are close allies with Israel especially since Turkey cut ties with Israel…or should I say increasing tensions in that region.

Greece bought M-346 trainer planes from Israel, along with a flight academy.

Apparently Greece is buying F-35’s to be delivered in 2028. I’m guessing they will train together in them? Who knows…

I see it more probable from the US. I dont think Israel wanna show their tactics with the F-35 considering how secretive they are about their active military assets.

Wow. I would call that based but honestly I don’t wanna get political and involved in neoimperialist middle eastern destabilisiation debates.

The point still stands. If you want the rafale grind the french tree. Don’t just ask for it to be added to a tree you already have.

Expect to see exported vehicles in other Tech Trees… hmm wonder why…

Also UK (India) gonna get the rafale one day, maybe not in the near future but one day.

Gaijin literally said it was going to be added. I’m not begging for it. I was looking for a timetable that’s all…

technically taiwan is going to procure rafales so we may see china get one its gonna be interesting

When did they say it was going to be added? As far as I’m concerned, they said they would add the Greece subtree in the future. That isn’t exactly the same as Rafale being added, although is a strong possibility.

Gaijin has already broken that rule by adding Taiwan to China instead of USA

Well I guess it’s an assumption based off of them saying they were going to add Cypress, Greece, and Singaporean vehicles to add diversity to the Israel tech tree. Seeing the only aircraft that isn’t on Israel would be the F-35, the Rafale would fill the gaps left in there top tier aircraft.

Whats the point of a greek subtree without greek vehicles. It may not come in a near future, but its gonna come.

Maybe we should do an Iranian sub tree on the US tech tree since there is an Iranian F-14 as a premium event vehicle…Lol

Naw

I could see that happening if the uk did not have the EF2000. But they have that so I doubt rafale is getting added soon. I also believe gaijin will not add it to other trees because it helps them sell more premiums because many people don’t have the entire french tree researched and just want the top plane.

To be fair as an israeli main i dont mind cyprus being copy and paste , they will massivley help with the dire state israels spaa is at now, spyder is unplayable . The cypriots used to operate TOR and the BUK which would give israel an actual playable spaa until more strategic sams like patriot,s300 etc come in the game
