As of now, Italy 8.0 is already extremely stacked with multiple MBTs and support vehicles to go with them (OF-40, R3-T106, M47-105, ETC), but 8.3-8.7 are almost empty aside from the SIDAM (AA) and M113 (TD). By giving the Leopard 1A2 the ability to carry APFSDS (DM23 or M735) it would be fair for it to be moved to 8.3 or even 8.7, thus filling an important gap in the Italian TT.
If it is kept at 8.0, the leopard will be overshadowed by vehicles already in the tech tree, such as the OF-40, moving the 1A2 just 1 step higher would help flesh out an area that needs MBTs.
Yeah, I actually agree, new lineups aren’t formed without first steps, idk why everyone so afraid of making them. It would also make this Leo a bit more unique and finally bring some adequate vehicle into 8.3 setup with M113A1(TOW) and SIDAM-25.
Looking at how long they are staying there I doubt they will go lower anytime soon (or ever). Btw Sidam-25 can benefit from the new multiple vehicles mechanics, although it’s currently only for SAMs, I think it would make Sidam way better. Like imagine you spawn a radar M113 (like the one they use irl) and build your 2 Sidams XD
AMX-30B2 is currently a lower BR than a tank at minimum equal to it: T-55AM-1.
It’d most likely be 8.7.
8.0 is what needs more tanks not the already large 9.0 lineup.
Definitely not, a lack of stabilizer is a huge disadvantage especially for a tank which relies on mobility a lot.
Leopard 1A2 with DM23/M735 without stabilizer would end up at 9.0 only if someone retarded (or maybe just motivated in some weird way) put a hand on it, as it was with RN Ghibli at 4.0 lol
You literally have OF-40 mk.2A and Leopard 1A1 at 9.0, both with stub and DM23.
1A2 would be fine at 8.3 with APFSDS and without stabilizer.
PS it’s not related, but Italy doesn’t have 9.0 lineup so far, only OF-40 mk.2A is placed there. While 8.0 setup is already quite potent with OF-40, R3 T106FA and Hungarian Shilka (+ there are 2 premiums: M60A1 and HVG) + you can bring M47 (105/55) to 8.0 as it doesn’t lose much at 8.0.
1 - 8.3 has 2 other support ground vehicles which require MBT in it and no, even if there wasn’t any it won’t be magically bumped to 9.0 just because;
2 - lineups consist not only from MBTs.
Helping Italy by refusing to form new lineups, you are definitely not the one, who helps Italy.
