Yesterday I unlocked level 10 for ground battles and received the coupon. Since I’m on console, I could only convert it into War Bonds—100 WB to be exact, which is what you get from the Battle Pass after certain the level, by just logging in and completing daily challenges. It seems like a really poor conversion, considering that on console, you don’t have access to the marketplace. I believe the commercial agreements with Sony or Microsoft are quite restrictive, since in all these years, there’s never been an option to improve or grant access to the marketplace for players on both platforms. It might be worth considering improving the conversion rate in the future, because other players have a huge economic advantage by selling vehicles that become tradable, compared to just 100 WB.
thank you for future consideration on this matter.
Only 100 War Bonds??? While I can maybe see reducing the conversion rate lower than the typical 1,600 War Bonds for upgrade coupons, it should have only gone down to something like 800 War Bonds at the most. Since the current upgrade coupons took exactly 50% less points/effort to obtain. But 100 War Bonds is just petty.
So, it’s (deliberately) hard to do an apples-to-apples comparison here. But here’s one way to look at it.
For the last single-vehicle event (IAR), if you went for the coupon, that was an additional 355,000 score on top of the 245,000 you needed for sellable. (This varies by length of event and score per star, just using this as one example.) If you didn’t have the 1,600 WB option, there would be no value console players could get from that additional 355,000 score. Works out to 220 score per 1 WB.
For the Christmas event, for each vehicle you could ground an additional star #10. #9 gets you the camo, so arguably you’re compensating for only one star and 40,000 modified score with the WB option (or 80,000 if you count the gap between stars 8 and 10). For this you’re getting 100 WB, which works out to either 400 or 800 modified score per 1 WB, so either half- or quarter-rewards efficiency wise compared to the last single-vehicle event.
I would agree it’s not a good deal on these terms, and console players should probably stop trying to get these after the 8th or 9th star and do something else fun with their lives if that’s the way it’s going to be. But at the same rate of 220 score per WB as the IAR event had, they wouldn’t be entitled to more than 3-400 WB as the console exchange rate for the star #10 award. So you might be getting overgenerous there, by about a factor of two.
So after I got scammed with F-14 IRIAF I dont even play events because I see it as waste of time if you on console.
Like I grinded for that extra cupon so that people on PC can earn 60 dollars or whatver the price was and I can exchange it in 10 days for 1600 wb…
So I just did Kafir in this event (although I will never play that country anything) and now I have cupon for him and its just useless to me… just waste of time…
Like Im just waiting for ability to transfer account on PC so I that my grind is worthy like this its just waste of time.
There is no need to go personal. After all, it was you who compared different events in the first place.
All I did was to provide another data point and suggest another computational method, namely the EXTRA effort needed between “to own” and “to sell” that happens with your apples and oranges.
With the battle pass and the other event, the extra effort to sell is of the same order of magnitude as the effort needed to own. With this event, it is a quarter only.
Look at a battle pass vehicle. It says: Event Vehicle: Battle pass…
100 WB for upgrade coupon is just crazy…No way you let me grind 10X40k points so I can exchange it for 100 WB…what a waste, man sometimes I wonder why do I even play this game on Console its like you GAJIN dont care…
So, getting the vehicle via marks of distinction, it’s 6€ x 8 = 48€. And, if you play a bit every day. You may get each mark for even less or get a few entirely, making it cheaper.
Therefore, these vehicles will rarely ever (if ever) go beyond 48€. They will mostly be around 25-35€, depending on the interest and available supply.
Prices used to go higher when you couldn’t just GE the event vehicles, like the crafting events, etc; so the only way to get them without grinding was to purchase them on the Marketplace.
Now, the only cases in which vehicles may go higher is if people happened to want them much later and if supply is very limited.
