To be honest, I’m surprised that this isn’t just a M4 Sherman with some logs on it and sandbags and “Hell on wheels” marking. I’m feeling that we’re reaching a point of in fact good event and unique vehicles.
Call of the Dragon and the Object 292, from words of a few members of the community has no sense as the event started in the Chinese New Year, and as I said, it’s a good vehicle for this event as it’s not a just M4 Sherman with some stuff on it.
I was expecting the M4 Sherman Crab, but I don’t know what this vehicle could bring to the game and even if the spinning chains would give in advance but less turret rotation limits and speed overall.
I generally agree but in this case I’m fine with it. Honestly, how many actually unique D-day vehicles are left to add? Ones that are suitable for this game I mean. I can only name the DD-Sherman, but that’s about it. Maybe a flail tank, but it wouldn’t bring anything useful.
I’d like to see the DD Sherman added to the game at some point, but with actually working flotation screens (key-bind to raise/lower them) That’s a new mechanic they’d need to add and it would take some work.
Events centered around a historical event or battle should have vehicles relevant to that event or battle.
You’d better not caught complaining about when they are picking “relevant” vehicle when it’s almost guaranteed to be copy-paste, just like the premium T-34 we got on VE day event.
Hot take: I actually prefer the copy paste event stuff to represent certain army groups or pilots as they allow the unique stuff to not be time locked or force a kings ransom to unlock it.
I don’t get why people wanted the Sherman DD.
If it was the event vehicle, there would have been quite a lot of people complaining due to it not being very unique. While this is just a M18 HellBoat, it atleast looks diffeent and is based ona really fun tank (imo).
