Absolutely, from what I could note, the differences being only the name and the lower count of sideskirts explosive reactive armor, it will play exactly like the tech tree T-72B3A, in summary, a higher battle rating (likely) T-72B3, with Arena APS, T-72B3A essentially!
So not worth at all?
T-72B3 requires a more slow approach in terms of gameplay, with this one you’ll be potentially immune to some projectiles and guided ordnances, as for value, it will be highly cheaper considering there’s an alternative in the tech tree with better protection overall, as the explovise reactive armor expands from the front to the engine bay as you can see in the images I’ve attached on the meme. I’ll get it regardless if won’t be much valueable, only for line-up, and as for line-up is the only point that brings its value and worthiness.

After the failure to actually balance the BMPT and sidestepping the issue by moving it up in B.r instead of nerfing It and am not surprised Russia gets another great vehicle. I try to not think Russia gets
preferential treatment but sometimes it’s really hard not to sway that way in my mindset. Was hoping for some love for other nations personally.

I don’t think it will be worthless, it is a Russian MBT afterall, and they thrive in WT as far as my experience tells me.
Thought process of this event:
“So we have a T-72B3 Arena-M in the techtree, what should we do for the next event? Its worse older brother?”

my main issue with this event it’s another copy past not worth the grind this tank could be been added in tec and folder with the other T72B3
instead of adding something unique like object 640
this is another copy past event like the T-80U with aps
another event to skip :/ war thunder events are getting boring more and more :(

I guess you never played when they have no uncountered CAS huh? literally even the ariete curbstomps the T90M or T80BVM, literally ask any toptier player that isnt biased towards russian mbt lmao. Leo, Strv, Abrams, Type series, Ariete, Leclerc and ZTZ all mog the BVM and M in about every regard, Leo and Strv even in armor. All they have going for themselves is ERA, which any >10 IQ player knows how to avoid and 1 shot a T series anyway
