Get the R400 in the Fast and Dangerous Event!

  • Prototype / “standard” TH-400 turret — 3-man, 105 mm

A three-person powered turret fitted with a 105 mm gun (reports describe it as the common NATO L7 / 105 mm family type used as the prototype main armament)

  • Heavier / proposed option — 120 mm (Rheinmetall)

Documentation/marketing claims for the TH-400 indicate the chassis was designed to accept heavier turrets, including a three-man Rheinmetall 120 mm smoothbore as a proposed fit. This appears to have been a design option/proposal rather than a widely-built configuration.

  • Modular lighter turrets (20–30 mm and remote weapon stations)

The R-400 / TH-series was offered with modular turret options — smaller autoloading/cannon turrets ( 20–30 mm autocannons), remote weapon stations, and intermediate options (e.g., Mauser 30 mm or 35/50 mm weapon systems). Rheinmetall’s catalogue of turret systems (E-series, Lance family, weapon stations) is consistent with the kinds of modular turrets offered to customers.

  • Leopard-1 / large tank turrets — forum / niche claims

Some specialist forum posts and enthusiast resources claim Leopard-1 turrets (or Leopard-derived 105 mm turrets) were trial-fitted to wheeled prototypes (including references to TH400 / related experimental vehicles) or used in exhibit builds. These claims are less formal and rely on photos/comments.

chat.gpt answer doesnt help buddy

There are also countless claims of Thyssen Henschel trying to fit a 120mm on the TAM chassis in collab with Rheinmetall, yet essentially no evidence of that ever happening.
Just because a manufacturer claims they can do something, doesnt mean anything until they end up doing it.

Rheinmetall did propose 120mm gun turrets for lightweight platforms, but those were never trailed on the TH 400 (nor H400, nor R400) chassis.

^ this brochure is from 09/1984 btw…

proposed option

I just copied text from Janes Armored Fighting Vehicles Retrofit Systems book and ask for chat gpt to make a summary :)

Anyway… I’m just gonna try it this way to hopefully get some clarity on the situation;

@Smin1080p_WT which version is the vehicle supposed to represent or, more specifically, which year is the ingame vehicle supposed to depict?
Pre 2000 or post 2000? (pre/post aquisition of Thyssen Henschel by Rheinmetall)
or even >2001? (redesignation of HENSCHEL Wehrtechnik / Thyssen Henschel to Rheinmetall Landsysteme)

I agree that they dont privide exactly year or date on any vehicle they do post. For example same goes with Tigers there is sooooo many modifications from Tiger Prototype till end production.

Finally, a good event vehicle after months, amazing!

What are the specs of this vehicle

OOH!! My god how i never thought about that!?

This definitely has nothing to do with bad game design or anything.
It used to be a huge grind every few months, but now it is just a nonstop constant horrible grind.

Also for a game that is completely based around collecting different and unique vehicles to use in game “Just don’t play/grind/buy it” is honestly the dumbest answer you could give.

Is this intentional? People cant even miss/skip a stage ? Not to mention not even a camouflage for the vehicle? disgusting profit maximization.

once again, you control your habits. its your knowing decision to grind these vehicles.

its great, i dont have to miss 2 out of 3 vehicles because I have a job and family.

germany really nedded another light tank with 105 mm gun but where it the leopar2 witn 140 mm gun? russia get cool vehicles for event… whay have this light tank special to be an event vehicle?

@Smin1080p_WT would it be possible to know what year the R400 is supposed to be according to the Devs? Because this would tell us what to report exactly

literally why

Its a short event, 7 stages instead 9.
Simple to remember and understand
6 stages = Unique Ultra Rare Non Tradable
7 stages = Unique Ultra Rare Tradable
9 stages = Rare Tradable

Boring generic wheelie.

I’ll get it. Looks like fun.

Seeing as the decal is still able to be modified, can I recommend you prioritise centralising the hull inside the circle rather than keeping dimensions correct? Shortening the barrel would allow this.

This, Im so tired of the constant events.
