I’m honestly happy about this. There are a few points I would like to make,
IMO This is a good event reward for a fair number of points.
IMO I would hardly count the C.10 we got as an Israeli vehicle as it is the lesser export only version.
IMO Israel is underserved by its TT, Premiums and event Vehicles.
This will expose more people to the Israeli vehicles which IMO is a good thing.
I’m excited for it even though I have every Israeli vehicle unlocked.
the israeli ones are basically the same as late British ones.
They are kicked to death by boom and zooming superior, newer fighters all the time so just arent fun to play. It can turnfight but only morons try to do that at such a high BR
Of all the planes that existed, this is definitely one of them. For a nation that is already 99% copy paste, one more won’t make it much worse…
Anyone who says Israel is 99% copy paste clearly hasn’t played enough of it.
There are a ton of Israel specific mods to existing weapons platforms. Most of what you may consider as copy paste behaves differently than its counterparts.
It’s still quite potent and more than capable of dealing with those fighters. Even when they have an energy advantage, so long as I has enough energy I can play my cards well enough to survive their attacks. It’s a really great aircraft, easily the best 8.0 I’ve personally played. Although I heard that one 8.0 MiG-15 was pretty rad.
Sure some are unique modifications but how will this one be different in war thunder?
If only it didn’t turn to an 11.3 at 13.0 after launching its Fakours…
I didn’t say this vehicle wasn’t copy paste. That has yet to be seen. I took issue with the Israeli TT being called 99% copy paste.

They also could have added the Meteor NF.11 with Fireflash AAMs
Or the Sea Venom FAW.22 with 2 Firestreaks, better radar, an improved engine and rocket assists takeoff boosters

Too iconic to be part of the technology tree, the best option would be to give us the PD version and then put the initial versions like Mig25R in the line along with SU15 Flagon

Minor changes to otherwise identical vehicles for the most part. Truly unique planes are only 2-3, and it’s the only nation to not have a WW2 section at all, cutting out 1/3rd of the BRs. It would have been far better suited as a USA subtree.
I applaud the idea of mid tier event reward.

Low level/skill or no lineups players wont ruin top tier. Not that there is much more to be ruined on a top tier clusterf…
Copy - paste vehicle though… Makes it not worth the grind.
2 things in mind.
First is that the community should start understanding that not all have everything or are interested in the same things and even not all people are in the forums and talking their opinion.
Yes they gave Israel Kfir C.10 , that’s a t8 with ARH though. There are -MANY- people that don’t touch those things/those tiers ,anyway. GJ (as much as criticize them for other things) doesn’t have to give only t7/8 vehicles to the game.
Is it copy paste? Yes and no…what if a next update has something to do with recon/AWACS/ECM/ECCM. Give it functional camera and it goes unique. “Eye in the sky” …
In general, those events… an addition is an addition. If you don’t like it, don’t grind it . I won’t really grind it, if i accidentally (just playing) grind it ok. If i accidentally get the market coupon, i’ll sell (even 10 eu , it doesn’t matter).

It’s not a bad addition , specifically for Israel.
A t5 , free plane is ideal to skip playing t4. Hit it a tali and you’ll done with t4/5/6 in no time…
A t8 like a Kfir C.10 or t7 C.2 are not really for starting the grind for a new player. Also, anyone that has played t3/4 props can start with t5, some things he has learned are still in use. Start with t7/8 and it’s a different game… or even t6. Very different game.
You’ll try and do “ride in to the danger zone” and instead the danger zone will ride a R-27ER through you you from 40km.
So yes, a Meteor is a nice addition for starters , if you have played t3/4 in any nation in the game.
Everyone gets crazy about MiG 25, i way more interested for Su-15TM.
