I just watched the two Air Arcade battles you played before you wrote this message. No one rammed you in any of these battles.
I suspect for you ramming means that enemy fighters decided to do head-ons against you. You played with strike planes that use heavy guns at the front, but don’t turn very well. Maybe forcing head-ons like this works in Air Realistic, but this tactics just doesn’t make sense in Air Arcade.
I’m not surprised to see your results:
Spoiler
But I understand your frustration. With such scores you can’t complete the event in Air Arcade, especially with low event multipliers there.
I don’t know why, but many Realistic players think they are “pro”, and Arcade players are “noobs”. So in their minds they can just join Arcade and get crazy scores. But it doesn’t work like this.
Both game modes are very different and you have to play them differently. I used to force head-ons in Air Arcade, when I was a new player. But it’s just way too risky, I stopped doing this years ago, it’s not a good way to play Air Arcade.
The funny thing is, when I started playing Air Realistic most my kills were from head-ons. Head-ons seem to be much easier in this mode. It’s simply easier to avoid enemy fire, as planes are not as agile as in Arcade (ironically).
If you want to play Air Arcade with strike aircraft lineup, I suggest to focus on ground targets. Don’t go middle, just go to the side with less enemies and kill ground AI units there. It makes most sense to use bombs to destroy medium tanks (they give good score) and pillboxes (their score was unfortunately reduced from 100 to 40 some time ago, so they are not good targets nowadays). Then you can use guns to destroy artillery/AAA/light vehicles.
It’s really hard to survive in Air Arcade battles, you need very good awareness, and sometimes even that is not enough. It’s much easier to stay alive in Air Realistic, where you have more time to look around, predict the outcome of the situation and react.
Even as a Air Realistic newbie, I can recommend to just stick to Air Realistic during the event. It’s much easier to get the required score there (x1.4 game mode multiplier and x2.5 actions score multiplier), especially when you use planes with missiles. During the current star, I’m checking my results with the Su-11. Many times I heard this plane is overpowered, so I thought it might be a good idea to try it during the event. But because I don’t know how to dogfight, I’m not doing very well with it. I struggle to kill other players with guns in Air Realistic, and I don’t understand many situations (my plane just can’t follow the enemy like in Arcade). Dogfighting is definitely much harder in Air Realistic (I don’t understand it yet), so it’s probably better for me to just play at higher BRs and use missiles.
I played 6 battles so far in Su-11, and my score results were: 127, 2084, 1355, 995, 658, 1930. So only two good battles so far, and my overall event progress is poor. The Su-11 is a rank 5 plane, so no additional multiplier, but thanks to the game mode multiplier of x1.4, my current event progress score is over 10k. It still takes effort to complete 45k score this way, but it’s not that bad. I would need much more effort to get that 10k in Air Arcade, where 1 player kill is only worth 180 score.
But I think I will go back to just bombing bases and using missiles in Air Realistic. It’s much easier and quicker score than dogfighting with the Su-11. At least for me, but I’m just a newbie.
