The R-27R1 is historically inaccurate, it was unsuccessfully test fired from a single airframe, with the findings being that the AWG-9 and R-27R1 were incompatible. Now, a somewhat more acceptable integration would be the R-73. It was never operationally equipped to tomcats due to munitions shortages, but it was successfully tested on the airframe. It would also make more sense, otherwise the tomcat would be playing with just AIM-9Ps or AIM-9Js having no good IR missile while having 2 SARHs :
Just give it the R-73 and call it a day, don’t give it an R-27 smh.

look at the booster, it isn’t long enough, the er has a more noticeable booster that your would see sticking out the back this one just has a small booster peaking out
